How Do You See? Knowledge and Wisdom

by Cagsil

Every person has their own perception about things, however, whether or not those perceptions are accurate matters. Some make no sense, while offering no knowledge or wisdom.

Some people will, without a doubt, argue because they simply don't agree. The question becomes why don't they agree? It can be ego or chosen ignorance, or even a lack of knowledge, which makes them disagree. In the end, cooler heads will prevail by discussion, not argument. Share your knowledge with others, while letting them share their knowledge with you. If you feel the need to be right, then you're ego is most likely the issue.

How Do You See?

How do you see? How do you see the things going on around you? Many people I have run across during my life, seem to have some intelligence, while others barely understand the word itself. Now, some will talk to you about the word "see", and say that it's about perception or what you perceive from your surroundings. However, what many people will not tell you is that your perception isn't solely based on your sight/vision.

Your individual perception must go deeper than the surface. If you don't, then you do a disservice to yourself and create the future you shouldn't be living. Your individual perception should incorporate everything you've managed to comprehend and accumulated as knowledge. The word "knowledge" is just about everything you learned. The word "wisdom" is the discernment of that knowledge. If you are using wisdom, then you will know it as truth. Make no mistake here, you can be mislead by yourself, so as to protect something else.

I am presently 45 years old and spent much of early living, learning about "Life". Now, it's broad topic, but is limited, when you actually apply it to a specific individual. As I said above, perception is about more than just sight. When you see something? You must try and figure out what it is you saw? At that time, your brain operating at computer speed, grants you the power to identify, whatever it is you saw. It uses the knowledge you've already accumulated and then you realize/recognize the object.

However, many people seem to think that every person's perception is different? Well, in one aspect, that would be correct, but in others, you might find yourself on the same page, with the same perception as others. People agree and disagree, simply based on perception. It's one reason why witness identification isn't considered as reliable, as it once did. There is just too much distortion and misinformation being spread throughout the world today, for anyone to try and understand, almost anything. It's sad to see, but it's truth.

Knowledge and Wisdom Are Vital!

Knowledge and Wisdom are the main keys to any human beings' life. It is what helps you create your own future. It grants you power to see through bullshit, when it rises to the top, like it has in many religious and political leaders, presently running the world. When you look at these individuals, on a one-to-one basis, you can see that they are not truly giving a damn, what is happening around the world. To them, they are in it for themselves.

This isn't a perception, skewed by negativity and it doesn't come from an angry little man, who has nothing better to do with his time. If you're not willing to honestly look around yourself and not get upset with the atrocities of the world, then please check your ego at the door. It is obviously in your way from seeing what is truly happening. If you only have compassion for yourself or just your family and friends, you apparently haven't learned what it truly means to be human. I don't want to upset you, but I do want you to consider what I am telling you. Why? Because, to me, peace is that important. You might not think so, but I don't expect you to understand.

Wisdom Is Limitless

Wisdom is limitless. You can never be too wise. You can never learn enough. When you accumulate knowledge, you must discern wisdom from that knowledge, because it is how you find truth. Some people love to argue, what is truth? And, many continue the argument by saying that truth is an individual perception/perspective.

And, for any other species, that could be a truth, but not for the human species. Truth is truth and it is recognized when seen. How do I know this? Because, I have been told many times over that when I write something, either article or poem, the wisdom I possess is shared and recognized. To make it easier for you to understand- Truth is in everything in existence. Truth is inside a Lie. What happens when a LIE is revealed as a Lie? What is left? Truth!

It is important that you take your time and learn all that you can. It is extremely vital to you being true to yourself. When you stop yourself from learning, then you only damage yourself. That is a truth! You can deny it, but that won't change what it is.

Thank you for your time

Yes, I'll agree. Many people simply don't do their own thinking because if the topic gets to deep in context, then they get a headache. I've encountered plenty of these people in my live span. I merely push them as far as I can, each time I interact with them, so I can help them expand their own ability, consciously and unconsciously. Many people lead by emotion, which makes for any exchange difficult. If they cannot get beyond their emotion, the conversation isn't likely to get far. Thank you for becoming a fan and appreciate you taking the time to read and comment. I'm grateful.

The real problem is some people have no logic, nor any logical thought. Logic is a way of looking for truth, not emotionally responding as though what is desired is true.

Hey Alan, yes you could ask the American Indian about what occurred and the simple fact that Indians were here first, then wiped out for the most part, shows how much history is what it is and speaks for itself, to anyone willing to listen. Holding our leaders accountable is something which is usually left to about III% of the population, who really understands what's happening.

One of the things, I'm changing as I go along is, awareness. More people must realize that more people need to be involved. It doesn't have to be forced, but a new mentality should be adapted, which would require more involvement. For centuries, leaders have push a separate agenda via governments and corporations, scary as it has been it can get worse. The more people who train their own minds, more will become self guiding & free thinking. It's necessary for the future of the species. Thank you very much for reading and comment. I'm grateful

Discerning the truth allows us to paint a picture to connect the dots+to see history in context+from each different perspective,to make more informed decisions+to hold our leaders accountable for their lies, but remember, most history we learned about in school was written by the winners, just ask any american indian!

Thank you Dustrytoes for reading and posting a comment. I'm grateful for your time and I do whatever I can to provoke thought. I want people to be more consciously aware of the choices they make, why they make them and to understand, knowledge and wisdom are both important as one another.

King Solomon could have asked God for anything, and he chose to ask for wisdom. It's an on-going process to become wise and discerning in life, but some people get stuck where they are. They are complacent and don't grow. I agree with you that many of our world leaders today are in it for themselves. This is a thought provoking page.
