Nothing is better to me than a beef barbecue sandwich loaded with delicious barbecue beef! I like adding sliced pickles and rings of onions on mine. It is made using a chuck roast, this recipe you boil the meat, but you could also roast it if you prefer.

It is great for a big family or a crowd. You can double the recipe if you need more! Great party food! Let's party!

Easy Baked Corn On The Cob

Corn on the cob is a great side to just about any meal! Servings can be as many as you desire!

I have always boiled my corn, but recently as I have gotten older and lazier, I cook it in the good old microwave. Either way, you have to cut the end off the cob, un-shuck it and worst of all try to get all the corn silks picked off of each corn on the cob you are cooking.

Corn is at a cheap price right now I got six ears for $1 and then thought, oh I have to go through all the steps to get it ready to eat. I started searching for an easy no brainer way to do it that turns out a delicious result. Guess what, I found one!

Go to grocery store and buy as many ears as you want, as many as will fit in your oven from one to a bunch!

  • Next just rinse them good, no you do not need to soak them for 30 minutes or however long.

  • I get my kitchen scissors and trim the tops of them so there are not shucks hanging down or silks sticking out.

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees  Fahrenheit.

  • You do not need a pan, just the oven rack!

  • Pile in as many as you need to cook, making sure they are not touching.

  • Bake for 40 minutes.

  • Pull the shuck back and the silks just slide off, so easy, you can use the shuck as a handle if you like.

  • Eat away, enjoy!

I have not cooked with puff pastry before, but have always wanted to! Now I have a yummy recipe!

Veronica on 08/22/2017

TY .

It can be adapted to however you wish or whatever seasoning you want in the ground pork if you can't get sausage meat . It is so easy but everyone loves it.

Margielynn on 08/21/2017

That sound so delicious, thanks!

Veronica on 08/21/2017

Re Frank's journey to Portugal
The flying time Manchester to Portugal is approx. 2hrs 40 mins and there is no change in time zone either.

Veronica on 08/21/2017

If you google sausage plait, you will see pictures of it . Mine is simple

This is very easy and my Irish heritage family of happy eaters WOLF it down on Christmas Eve. I now make two and every slice goes quickly.
1 lb of sausage meat (minced pork and seasoning )
1 quantity of frozen puff/ flaky pastry
beaten eggwash to glaze

Roll / Pat the minced pork and seasoning or sausage meat into a roll
Roll out the puff/ flaky pastry to be long enough to place meat onto it. Place roll of meat on pastry.
Cut diagonal lines in pastry equally and evenly either side of the pork roll
Fold the strips of puff pastry over the meat and encase the pork sausage meat with pastry
Brush with egg wash ( beaten egg and milk )
Cover over with grease proof paper to prevent burning
bake in a hot oven for about 1 hour
Serve hot or cold in large slices.

Frank's daughter has loved this since childhood.

Frank have an awesome trip!

frankbeswick on 08/20/2017

Yes, as a relative newcomer to Wizzley you will not have seen the revelation that I am Veronica's elder brother.

By the way, I will not be posting until Wednesday 23rd August as I am having a city break in Lisbon to celebrate my wife's birthday.

Margielynn on 08/19/2017

Hey Frank, I was wondering if you were the Frank that Veronia was talking about! You are the only Frank I know. I like what the French say about love! Love is the greatest gift of all!! It is so nice to meet you and Veronica. Have a great weekend!

frankbeswick on 08/19/2017

I have drunk my fill of Veronica's punch [and she will testify that I like to drink my fill!] and her fruit punch comes up to the mark. Of course, who can resist the mulled wine as well?

Margielynn, you say that love is the secret ingredient, but the French say that the secret of other's cooking is that mother cooks with love! Love make a difference, but don't ask me to explain why! There are mysteries that a philosophy lecturer, such as me, cannot explain!

Margielynn on 08/19/2017

Yum, I would like to know how you make it.
