Amazon Kindle Features

There's more to the Kindle than just being the best ebook reader there is! Let's take a look at some of the Amazon Kindle Features that you may not have discovered yet.

Did you know that there are more features to the Amazon Kindle than many people are aware of?

Yes, the Kindle is without doubt the best eBook reader there is.

However, it can do a lot more than simply store and display eBooks!

So let's take a look at some of the additional benefits that you can get from your Kindle and explore the Kindle hidden features!

The Kindle Features

Exploring Some of The Kindle's Hidden Features

So what additional features can we find when we really start to explore the Kindle

Internet Browsing - whilst the browswer that comes with the Amazon Kindle isn't the most advanced, I have found that it can be very useful in certain circumstances or situations. With the 3G Kindle model you don't have to pay for accessing the 3G network which if you are away from home with no other means of connecting means that it is very handy for checking emails or simple websites! Just make sure to always have your charging plug with you because using 3G can eat up your battery quite quickly if it is always on.

The MP3 Player and headphone jack means that you can also use it as an MP3 player. That makes it great for listening to music without having to carry around a separate device. If you enoy audiobooks you can also listen to them on the go.

I wouldn't say that the Text To Voice Reader is the best feature but it can be very useful. The Kindle features a text to speech option which will read eBooks, which have the option, to you if you want it to. It doesn't sound what you might call completely natural, however it can be a very useful function to have.

The Kindle comes preloaded with a dictionary which means that looking up words is a lot easier and faster than with traditional books especially as you don't need to carry a heavy dictionary around with you.

You can also access Wikipedia to learn more about what you're reading.

I can remember in the days when one used to get textbooks from the library you would come across someone's scribbled notes! If you're a student or an avid reader, who needs or wants to take notes then with the Kindle you can do so without ruining the book!

The Kindle includes various features which let you add notes, bookmark something of interest, or even highlight passages that you want to refer back to later. The Kindle for Textbooks is well worth looking at for students.

I get my daily Newspaper delivered to my Kindle each morning when I switch it on! With the Subscriptions To Newspapers And Magazines feature you can have a digital subscription on your Amazon Kindle. Whilst you have to pay for this service, as you would with any subscription to a newspaper or magazine, it's an extremely convenient way to do it

These are just a few of the additional or "hidden features" of the Kindle which make it well worth investing in!

Haven't decided if I want a Kindle. The more I read about them I think that perhaps I would really enjoy using it. Thanks for the review. It did give me some information I didn't know about them. Who knows maybe I will get one down the road.
