Long Island Medium Television Show

When I've watched other psychics do this, they go into these out-of-control and somtimes quite frightening trances. Not Theresa Caputo, her televised psychic readings they remind me of having coffee with your best friend. In fact they are often at her sunny dining room table and don't be surprised if her recently-retired husband wanders through looking for a glass of water.

I can't help but wonder is Caputo contacting dead spirits or is she reading people's minds and telling them what they want to know. Now don't get me wrong, if she can read peoples' minds that easily and accurately then that's pretty nifty as well. On a darker side, I have to wonder if she's genuine. Caputo says she doesn't have much information about her clients. If they go to her house, just a name and phone number. If she goes to their house - a name, phone number and of course their address. In todays internet-connected society, with the databases available that's quite a bit of information to mine. Caputo has a two-year waiting list for her psychic readings, that's a lot of time for research.

Theresa Caputo channels spirits all the time - and she's quite good natured about it. Going up to fellow shoppers in super markets and such and telling them she has their mother standing beside her with a message. Caputo is a nice lady who hangs out in Soccer Mom fashion and jewelry and she's always positive to the person. Everyone seems to appreciate the message.

The impromptu psychic readings always seem to surprise people. Well, if you live on Long Island and shop there, it's hard to believe you haven't heard of this lady. Then there's the cameras following her around. They don't show us the camera and the camera man on these reality shows. I wonder just how obvious it is that Theresa has her own show and is being filmed. How many people on camera would tell this woman that she's dead wrong or crazy? If they do, does it get included in the shows footage.

So we don't really know if the psychic readings we see on television are representative of the majority of Caputo's psychic readings. We don't have any way of assessing whether she's talking to dead people, reading our minds, or doing a lot of internet research. And I would love to know how much she charges per session.

But what I do know is that this is a very entertaining show as we watch Caputo's psychic readings and get to know her and her family. I'll admit it that as far as paranormal ghost shows on television today, this has fast become my favorite. I'm just not sure how much any of us should read into it.
