DIY Max and Ruby Party
Inspiration for the Writer
According to Max & Ruby author Rosemary Wells creating a Do it yourself Max and Ruby party for your little one is as easy as print and click. The international selling children's author offers printable decorations, invitations, party hats, games and gift labels on her website Rosemarywells.com.
The game shared on the site is pin the tale on Max. It is most likely inspired by the episode where Ruby accidently pins Max with her bunny tale. The kids are sure to have fun with this one.
These resources help you plan and decorate a Max & Party without costing you more than the price of a printout. You can make the party hats ahead of time. Your child will hop for joy when they see their Max and Ruby themed party.

Invitations and Thank-You Notes
Introduce your theme
Whether you use printable or store bought invitations and thank you notes it is important to use them.
Invitations set the tone for your party and let the guest knows about any themes or events that may be taking place during your party. It helps people less familiar with the guest of honor get an idea of her or his interests and what item they might appreciate as a gift.
Thank You notes give you the opportunity to thank your party guests for sharing your child's special day with you. If you are giving out party favors to younger guests it is easy to slip the note in with their favor bag or box.
Keep Your Party Simple
Toddlers and Preschoolers appreciate simple things
One of the great things about Max & Ruby is that they follow simple premises. There is no back story to follow, or some convoluted plot. Your young child appreciates the simplicity, and it is important to remember to follow the bunny duo's lead and it keep their party games. Do not over schedule a child's party with activities and remember any games played need to reflect the average guest's age. You do not want to have games that half the guests don't understand. Confusion leads to meltdowns and it's best to try to avoid these if you can; especially when dealin with multiple young guests.

Bunny Hop Fun Dance
Fun Party Activities
The bunny hop is a dance that is usually preformed to Ray Anthony's version of the bunny hop. If your party guests can follow simple instructions you could try to start a conga line with the little ones.
Here is how the bunny dance is done:
Participants stand in a line and put hands on the hips of the person in front of them. They tap their left foot twice and then right. They hop once forward, once backwards, and then forward three more times.
For your party you can make the dance more simple by either just hopping forward with the kids or once back and forth.
