Product Description: Hickory Smoked bacon from the Farmland brand. The pre-sliced bacon comes fully cooked and is warmed up in the microwave. I purchased a package of this bacon this past weekend at one of our local grocery stores for a little more than $3.00. My wife and I shared the bacon for breakfast this past Sunday.

Review
My wife was in the mood for bacon Saturday morning and, seeing how disappointed she was when she learned we didn't have any, I decided to run to the store and pick some up so she could have it Sunday morning instead. After some consideration, I ended up buying the Farmland Naturally Hickory Smoked Fully Cooked Bacon.
My primary reason for making this purchase was price. The bacon happened to be on sale for a little over $3, which I felt was reasonable. And, the fact it was already cooked, meaning I didn't have to go through a whole lot of effort preparing it, was a bonus. After having the bacon, I do have to say it proved to be worth my money.
As I mentioned, preparing this bacon was easy. In fact, if I would have chosen to, I could have just eaten it right out of the box. I didn't do that, however, and did warm it up in the microwave first, a process that took about 30 seconds.
As far as taste goes, I had no complaints about this product. I've purchased quite a few bacon brands recently that were either very fatty or very salty. This brand, fortunately, did not fall in either of those categories. The bacon seemed to have quite a bit of meat on it without a great deal of fat/grease. And, while there was still a salty flavor to it, it wasn't anything that was overly strong.
The bacon also proved to be surprisingly filling. My wife and I had this before going on a shopping trip Sunday morning and were satisfied with about four slices each. Those held us until lunch, something I honestly didn't think would be the case considering we didn't have anything to go with it. That, as well as the other things, made it worth purchasing.

Final Opinion
I ended up purchasing another box of this product this morning because my wife and I are talking about making BLTs. If you have not tried this brand, I do recommend it.

StevenHelmer, Thank you for practical information, pretty pictures and product lines.
In particular, I appreciate this information even though I avoid bacon, ham and pork. This kind of convenient, tasty product is what I like to have on hand or keep in mind for those who like bacon, ham and pork.
How were the BLTs?
