Review of Old Fashioned Cheese Colby Jack Cheese and Meat Sticks

I actually forgot we had this product in our refrigerator until earlier today. My wife purchased them last week and, as is often the case with items in our fridge, the package got pushed to the back, where we couldn't see it. In fact, the only reason I remembered we had it was I came across it while looking for something else that was lost inside our refrigerator.

I figured this would be something a bit different for my afternoon snack and, because of that, took one of the cheese sticks and one of the meat sticks with me to work. After trying them (not too long after getting back to work), I can honestly say I think these were worth the money my wife spent on them.

This company is based in Mayville, Wisconsin, which is about 20 minutes from me. As a result, I've seen other Old Fashioned Cheese products in the stores and have had an opportunity to try them. One thing that has always stood about them, at least in my opinion, is the freshness of the items they offer. And, that is something that does go a long way for me.

This product was not an exception to that. The cheese and meat sticks seemed very fresh, much fresher than some similar products I've purchased from other brands (for a higher price). And, as a result of that, I did find I enjoyed them much more.

As far as overall taste goes, I also had no complaints. Again, the freshness helped with that. But, while the cheese was a bit sharper than I normally prefer and the meat stick was a bit on the spicy side, I did find I enjoyed both and did not regret picking this as my afternoon work snack.

This company, obviously, isn't the only company that offers a product like this. However, I do think the freshness of their product and the overall flavor do make them a brand that is worth buying if you have the option to do so.
