Our decision to eat at Pizza Pub this past weekend while taking a weekend vacation in Wisconsin Dells was based primarily on the restaurant's location. We were staying in a motel a short distance from the restaurant and, not wanting to walk any more than we had to (or drive), figured it was the best choice. As it turns out, this would have been a restaurant that would have been worth driving to.
When we first walked into the restaurant, there were two things I was really impressed about. The first of these was the fact we were able to be seated quickly. This was a major problem for us the last time we tried to eat dinner at one of the local restaurants and, with two kids in tow, the fact we could sit down quickly was definitely appreciated.
The second thing I loved right away was the atmosphere and layout of the restaurant. Their partially enclosed booths gave us a sense of privacy and intimacy and everyone in the family loved it. My oldest daughter, in particular, was fascinated both by the wooden enclosure and the decorations on the wall in our booth.

This situation appears to be perhaps common, perhaps typical of Wisconsin. Everywhere that has higher prices always has space for something like Pizza Pub, lower prices with the same fast service and friendly atmosphere.
A sub is something that I eyeball with care since I find that they can be or become soggy quickly. So it really says something about the quality that you and you wife were as happy with your fare as your daughters with theirs.
What were the drinks like?
