Product Description: Pretzel snack from the Snyder's of Hanover brand containing mozzarella, Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses and advertising a light, flaky texture. I purchased a bag of these for around $3 at one of our local grocery stores while doing some food shopping this past weekend and had a chance to try some earlier today.

Review
I had to do some grocery shopping Sunday afternoon and, as part of that, I ended up looking for some snack foods so I had something to send with my daughters as part of their school lunches during the week. As I was walking down that section of the grocery store, I happened to notice Snyder's of Hanover Three Cheese Pretzel Poppers. They looked somewhat different so, since my daughters both like pretzels, I decided to pick up a bag of them.
I ended up opening the bag this morning, while helping get my oldest daughter ready for school. While I was doing this, I decided to try a few of them and, overall, I thought they were pretty decent.
There were a couple things, in particular, I found I liked about this particular product. The first was the fact the pretzel poppers delivered on their light and airy promise. I'm not a big fan of snack foods that are overly crunchy, partly because my youngest daughter (who is still losing her baby teeth) has a hard time chewing them. These are definitely something she wouldn't have any issues with.
I also liked the flavor of this product. I could taste the cheese flavoring on the poppers but, at the same time, it wasn't strong enough to cover up the natural salty flavor of the pretzels. This combination really worked for me because it was a bit like eating pretzels dipped in cheese but without the mess.
In fact, I think the only thing I would change about this product is the quantity. I'm sure my daughters will eat these quickly and, because of that, I'm sure they will empty out that bag relatively quick.
Snyder's of Hanover Pretzel Poppers Airy and Crunchy Pretzel Shells, Three Cheese, 10 Ounce We have taken the middles out, but kept the crunchy pretzel shell. Our pretzel poppers are the perfect, lighter than air, crispy snack. |
Final Opinion
I don't try a lot of new snack foods but made an exception this time around. And, as it turns out, it was a good choice to make. I would definitely purchase this product again.

StevenHelmer, Thank you for practical information, pretty pictures and product lines.
As I mentioned in your wizzley about pretzel crisps, I'm not a fan of ordinary, traditional pretzels. But poppers and pretzels are types that sound that I could eat and enjoy.
How many more would you recommend per bag?
This is what they show for ingredients: Enriched flour (wheat flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), palm oil, canola oil, water, salt, maltodextrin, whey, Cheddar Cheese (cultured milk, salt, enzymes), sugar, butterfat, yeast, buttermilk solids, natural flavor, nonfat dry milk, Mozzarella Cheese (part skim milk, salt, cultures, enzymes), annatto extract (color), onion powder, turmeric
extract (color), Monterey Jack Cheese (cultured pasteurized milk, salt, enzymes), citric acid, garlic powder, yeast extract, lactic acid, paprika extract (color), bromelain, soda.
These sound really good but they probably have MSG in them so I wouldn't be able to have them.
