Robeez Soft Baby Shoes

Robeez baby shoes are not only adorable, they are practical, too. The shoes were originally created by a mother who wanted a pair of baby shoes that would be soft on her little boy's feet. She designed the little leather shoes and named them "Robeez" after her son Robert and the way the shoes were easy on the feet. The company was later bought out by Stride Right shoes and the shoes are now sold internationally.

Robeez baby shoes and booties are made with soft suede soles. The soles are non-skid on floors, and are designed to stay on the baby's feet and to be easy to learn to walk in. The American Podiatric Medical Association has approved these shoes because they give room for a baby's toes to wiggle and for the space to grow. When a baby is in the crib stage, his little feet will not kick the shoes off. When he is crawling, the leather uppers will protect his toes from being scraped on the floor while still being flexible enough to bend. And when he is learning to walk, the shoes will protect his feet and keep him from sliding while still allowing him to feel the floor beneath the shoe.

Soft washable bootie with suede leather sole comes in two styles: silver sparkle, as shown, and navy plaid. The elasticized ankle ensures that the bootie will stay on and the soles are made to be nonslip for little walkers. These booties have been approved by the American Podiatric Medical Association.

These train shoes are one of the Peek-a-Roo line that Robeez makes. The basic idea is a shoe with a design that peels back its velcro clusure to reveal a hidden picture. On this particular model, the train peels back to show the conductor driving inside. Other designs include a castle that peels open to reveal a friendly-looking pink dragon inside who can peek through the castle window. A third design is a barn, which when peeled back, reveals a cow ready to be milked. These designs fascinate little children who love to open the velcro and look at the creature inside. These are shoes that will provide a lot of entertainment.

I also find the company's origin really interesting. I love the idea that a Mom created the first designs in order to meet a need she felt for shoes that would be easy on her baby's feet.
