These rings are beautiful, but I am one of those women who would be very UNhappy to receive a ring for a gift. I never wear them. Earrings and necklaces, on the other hand . . . I appreciate other women's rings.

I love both of those rings, Katie. Maybe I could be my own sweetheart or say that my dogs gave it to me. lol You are right! Women love jewelry and especially diamonds. When I got married, the solitaire diamond was the style. My ex took me all over town looking at them. I found one I loved and it was $180. The ex said he couldn't afford it. I didn't get it, and that proved to be a red flag. The ex gave new meaning to cheap. There's frugal which is good. My ex took frugal to the heights of mental illness. I buy my own diamonds now and am perfectly happy with that.
