Vanity Sets with Stool /Seat for Teenagers

Appointing your teen girl's bedroom with these budget-wise, three and four piece vanity sets allow you to stretch your decor allowance without sacrificing form or function.
Keeping Teen's Decor Real: Keeping To Your Decorating Budget
As I've mentioned, black is a great color to go for that fun and funky look. And with cool zebra striping on the vanity's bench, you'll have the 'cool factor' built right in. With teen's, most often they'll opt for wild, fun decor ~ and hot colors with zebra will combine to make a convincing look in her space.
Hot pinks, zebra and other electric colors are fabulous to create that diva boudoir your teen's been pining for.
This zebra vanity set is a bit more in price, though. If you're trying to keep within budget, I suggest the black vanity set above that's under $100 and recovering the bench seat. I've included a how-to video below (at the end of the article), so you can get the look without the bigger price tag.
The Ever-Popular Black Hue in Teen's Rooms
As I've mentioned, black is a great color to go for that fun and funky look. And with cool zebra striping on the vanity's bench, you'll have the 'cool factor' built right in. The zebra vanity set above, is a bit more in price, though. If you're trying to keep within budget, I suggest the black vanity set at right that's under $100 and recovering the bench seat. I've included a how-to video below, so you can get the look without the bigger price tag.
Cohesion: Melding Your Vanity's Color with Your Teen's Style
When decorating, it's best to keep to one furniture finish for a cohesive look. Black can work with that 'funky' design teens and tweens love. Pair the black vanities up with zebra stripe and other animal prints or hot pink for a cool and striking contrast.
White has a clean, crisp look that's best for more conservative decor. Softer pinks and lavender hues partner well with white. While you'll have a little harder time making a convincing 'cool' look in your teen's space, it can be done by adding fun and funky accessories. Consider changing out the stool's padding to suit your look

White Wood Vanity Table Set with Oval Mirror, Stool/Bench... |
I'm sure I got the quote wrong, above but if your teen needs a lot of storage for her makeup, brushes and whatever else she swears is 'necessary,' it's a vanity set ;like this one with its wood vanity table, oval mirror, stool and those drawers aplenty you may find most appealing.
I was surprised to see this classic wood white Queen Ann style vanity so (dare I say?) underpriced. It will certainly grow with your tween to teen to dorm and she can crack the books on it work surface.
Who knew?
Simple Modern Design: A Tween to teen Fave
The modern decor palette is marked by straight, clean lines and minimal 'fluff.' These vanity sets have the straight, metal frames that are ideal for teen girls' bedrooms.
The trim has the distinctive linear look and the minimal-look frame will fit right into any loft decor or funky, mod styling teen girls love.
I like the idea of hanging white paper lanterns at different lengths above any of these vanity sets to brighten the room cheaply but oh-so-cooly.
Mirrors & Glass: the Illusion of Space and Light
Mirrors give the illusion of more space and added lighting with their reflective properties. Be sure the reflection is attractive, though, as you don't want your space to reflect a mess--making two messes!
If your teenager's bedroom has a dark recess or corner, you'll do well to place the vanity there to brighten things up a bit. The metal frames also give the impression of more space, as they're not a solid piece.
Vanities with backrests like these will support a colorful accent pillow for added punch in a dark or dimly lit corner.
Take Your Cues from Model Rooms for a Designer Look
Wall Decals Make a Fabulous Impression |
The model room above (really, it's one focal or accent wall) is monochromatic which makes the task easier to emulate. Well, lime green is an easy one and the swivel chair can be had rather cheaply at second-hand stores or Amazon. I've written about these types of mid-century modern pieces.
The wall decal is a scant few dollars and is removable, reusable, easy to apply and uber-cheap.
For the light fixture?
Glue paper towel tubes or plastic plumbers' pipe to a used drum shade paint the piece with under-$1 acrylic craft paint and light it up with a hanging light kit for under $8!
VIOLA!
You've an amazing wall for way less than the designer price tag.
Take the 'Cheap' Way Out Challenge
I'm a big time scout where I'll choose a space's total look and attempt to mirror it for far less.
With teen's it's best to go as cheaply as possible, as today's passion is tomorrow's embarrassment. I call this phenomenon the, 'Bambi to Bieber Stage' where a cute little deer is replaced by a cute 'dear' of another ilk.
This white wooden 3-piece vanity set has the chic zebra bench that's oh-so-trendy. It will fit right into your teen girl's space without any fuss--it's ready to go.
While you'll pay more for the style and convenience of the zebra print vanity bench, you'll be good to save and go for the plain vanity above that's under $100 and recover the bench yourself. I've included the how-to video below that I promised earlier if you're not convinced.
Go ahead and make your teen's space her own--and have her help you get it there.
recover your teen's vanity bench or stool easily--and cheaply
