Zojirushi rice cookers are the answer you're looking for, if you've tried for years to cook restaurant-quality authentic tasting Japanese or Chinese rice - and failed. I have to admit that that is my story. I have some of the best pots on the market that promise you'll be able to make rice in them. No matter how much water I used - or didn't use. No matter how I adjusted the cooking time. The rice was less than okay. Out of total frustration, I finally resorted to boiling rice in bags.
But my rice cooking was saved, when my husband and I were given a small 3-cup Zojirushi rice cooker as a housewarming gift. I have used it at least once a week to make rice (even brown rice). But more importantly we can make oatmeal in it and have it waiting for us in the morning. So the first thing I smell is the wonderful aroma of oatmeal in the morning. Then just before it's time to get up, I hear to coffee maker turn on. So I basically don't get out of bed until breakfast is cooked
