To fill it, you just pull out the brewing "drawers" and pop in k-cup (or tea or chocolate) (in the picture right, the "brewing drawer is shown next to the coffee maker - you just use the handles to pull each one out).

It's based on keurig's k-cup technology so that you can use K-cups when brewing you coffee. This is the least expensive single cup coffee maker on the market.
