Sweet Alice in Wonderland Baby Shower Invitations

by Marie

Invites for a fun-filled magical and fantasy baby shower based on the much loved Lewis Carroll classic book: Alice in Wonderland. Find some sweet tea party designs and more.

Since I was a young girl, I've loved the curious fantasy tale by Lewis Carroll that sees Alice fall down a rabbit hole and end up in a world of the strangest things you could ever dare to imagine. This complete dream-like story makes a wonder-filled theme for a shower and particularly one hosted for a baby girl because it offers up a wealth of possibilities and it is a tale that, despite being adapted for TV and movies numerous times, people just never get tired of.

I discovered some simply adorable Alice in Wonderland themed baby shower invites which are perfect to match up with whatever surprise you've got in store for a new mom or mom-to-be. Perhaps you're having a tea party based around the whole Mad Hatter scene or you're having a party that includes some of the most popular characters and motifs from this book including the White Rabbit, Cheshire Cat, March Hare or the Queen of Hearts. Have fun choosing something magical.

Some Ready to Purchase Designs

Inexpensive to Buy But You'll Need to Fill These in By Hand

I'm showing you a range of options on this page for different invitations that you could use for the baby shower. You can buy ready made and pre-printed designs like these ones shown here. The main advantage is that they're inexpensive and ready to buy now but you will need to fill out all the details for your shower by hand. These are great for small events where there are not going to be that many people and they're a very affordable option. Of course these can be used for any party or occasion too. These are small so do check the sizes before you make a purchase.

Beautiful Personalized Invitations from Zazzle

Customize Online and Order as Many or as Few as You Need

Zazzle has a really wonderful 'Wonderland' selection of Alice themed announcement cards and invites and I don't believe that you will find better designs anywhere else online.

Most of these custom designs are double-sided so come with a beautifully designed front with a header which in this case says Wonderland Tea Party Baby Shower while the other side has all the details about the event.

In most cases, there are some very simple text boxes that are very easy for you to fill in with the specific shower details such as the time and place of the event. You just type everything in once and then Zazzle will take care of the printing depending how many cards or invites you need.

These easily customized designs are so much easier and quicker than either making your own or buying ready-made options that you still need to write all the details into. And I have done this before so I know! Certainly, if it is going to be quite a large shower with more than 20/25 people, this is a far, far better option.

Wake Up and Smell the Roses, Alice

A Delightfully Girly and Elegant Whimsical Design

What a gorgeous collage design showing Alice, in a pink dress, admiring the giant rose flower blooms. This would make a very elegant design for a baby girl themed shower.

The heading on the front can be edited with the exact wording that you would prefer in case you're not having a tea party. And the back of the design can be fully customized to contain all the specifics you need including time, place, who it is for and who is hosting the event.

If you are wondering what the back is like (you can see it when you visit the page on Zazzle by selecting the image or link) then rest assured that it is made to match the gorgeous front with plenty of space to type in the details that you require.

The really great part is that you only have to type those details in once no matter how many invites you need to be printed!

If you have plenty of time on your hands and you enjoy crafting, why not consider making your own themed cards which is made even easier with some of the items I've listed below for you which include stickers, rubber stamps and even special note papers and envelopes.

Ideas for Making Your Own Custom Invites

Stickers can be used to decorate your own invite designs or plain envelopes, gifts and tags. They are ideal for matching up your own designs if you don't have too many to make. So this would suit a small event. You can also use them for favor bags and gifts too.

If you have time on your hands and you're feeling crafty, then using your own set of rubber stamps to make your invites OR embellish the envelopes might be an option. Here's a set which is very appropriate. I believe these are clear stamps which need to be mounted onto a acrylic stamp block so that you can use them.

This is a wood mounted stamp on a tea party theme so ideal for that type of event. You can buy some blank cards or notepaper, use the stamp (try gold color ink for something that looks special) and print your design. Rubber stamping is quite easy when you get the hang of it.

Perfect for announcing the shower is this white rabbit design. Very cute. To save time, use a word processing program on a computer to type out all the details that people need to know and then print as many copies as you need. Then use this design to stamp on the paper and envelope.
