Jo, That's cool. My cognitive therapist had me upload all the brain games on all my devices, my phone, my iPad, my Kindle, my Nintendo (games) it makes a tremendous difference. Gaming is amazing for us in so many ways. You should write a article about all the positive aspects of gaming. With the increased diagnoses of Alzheimers the brain games makes a significant difference in the aging brain. All of our brains are aging everyday! Maybe we should collaborate on this... Oh imagine two gaming advocates joining forces. My kids are brilliant minds who've taught this old gamer a thing or two about how they game. It's a great big connective source transcending time

We even got my parents into this! They aren't gamers. Well, not in the digital sense. It's more card games and going bowling for them.

But one Christmas, both had Nintendo DS Lites. My Dad (who is proud of his antipathy towards computers etc) got really hooked on quiz games. My Mum loved the Brain Teasers.

I remember looking around the room on Christmas evening. Me, my parents, my two nephews, my brother, my sister-in-law and her mother were ALL playing on our DS Lites. It amused me.

As a Wiccan, I usually do my rituals in whatever I'm wearing at the time. There are exceptions though. When I officiate at handfastings (weddings), you need to look the part. I have actual robes for that, which includes a choice of two capes. I have a light-weight, velvet one for summer and a heavy, woolen one for winter.

Every Halloween, I have someone or other knocking my door, wanting to borrow them for their costumes. I'm nice. I let them.

I like it, it's always a bit cold here in Ohio during Halloween. I stay true to form and wear my long black silk cape and hat..... can you say witch? Gotta be true to the real me :)

We love the Nintendo DS a sweet way to have your gaming fun on the go. I see kids hanging out at the library connecting. It's all good fun, plus teaches networking at a young age! ;)

It was a beautiful village to visit; and the story was utterly fascinating. Thanks for your comment. I smiled at your inclusion on the duel debate. I think running for the hills would be most person's first reaction.

Indeed some people in Eyam did do just that. They didn't leave the boundaries, but the village is surrounded by moorland. These people simply isolated themselves completely, living off the land, or else using the provisions allocated for them and left at the boundary stone/well.
