Bulk is good if you have storage. Right now I don't. I'm keeping canned goods in the closet because there's not enough room in the cupboards. Campers are not noted for storage capacity.

One idea, can you find others to form a 'buyers club' and buy cheaper in bulk, for example, team up with other dog owners to buy dog food cheaper in bulk? SY
