Hello Claudia! I know you do not like to hear this, but I have to agree with your doctor, lol! sorry! Try to cut down your chocolate intake by replacing it with some loose leaf tea. It may take some time to get used to, but give it some time. There are some tea blends that's just wonderful, and add a dollop of honey for the sweetness. Good luck! Glad to hear you made it home safely. Traffic in the States can be awful too (just witnessed a rear-end collision on the way home tonight). I can't imagine being caught on the side of the road with no place to go but up the hillside. :)

That's a very good point. :) I like the idea of being able to summon help in an emergency, but not being at the beck and call of anyone calling at any time.

I do carry chargers with me :D There have been times when I've been seriously tempted to buy one of those emergency battery powered phone chargers. Unfortunately, I do also have a propensity to lose phone chargers, constantly.

When people ask, I always say what is the point in having and paying for a phone if you can't use it, whether left at home or dead, it defeats the purpose. >.>

We too often forget how kids are full of energy and how they need physical activity, no matter if they are addicted to computer games or not. It is amazing how small things outdoors can make them happy.

And if something extra is still missing, I guess there is always some ice cream at the end of the expedition:)

Nine times out of ten, my phone is dead in the bottom of my bag anyway. This incident has taught me to be a bit more circumspect though.

Maybe you should just carry a charger in your handbag?

Wow! I've heard about the Charles Whitman attack, but never known an eye-witness. That must have been so terrifying.

Oh no! I'm glad your car got fixed, and got home safely! I'm paranoid about always having a fully charged phone with me. My friends think it's like an addiction, but it's not so much addiction as it is due paranoia. All of the worst things to ever happen to me happened when I could have really used a phone, or situations like yours have occurred, or it was bad news that I received via a phone call. So I always want my phone on me, and I want it charged.

There was a time when I was traveling out of town with my old college roommate, and I realized I'd forgotten my phone, and without question she turned around to get it...we were more than halfway there already. I really wouldn't have asked her to turn around, she just did it...and, then I didn't stop her. >.>

what a fun assignment, Flora, and you did ti well. I have a beautiful copy of the Canterbury Tales that I haven't yet read. I often have trouble with archaic poetry, though I have read the cliffs notes. Nice work, Flora. I enjoyed this very well.
