My Favourite Columbo Episodes

Hi Fora. A nice tribute to one of the greats. So many famous guest stars I'm tempted to buy the box set on DVD.

Can ADHD Be Treated Without Medication?

Hi Wendy! If your child is borderline then you may be ok without the meds. My son and daughter are now both back on theirs. They both can not function successfully without them. We are also working with a behavioral counselor to help teach them to make better decisions and coach them so that maybe one day when they are older they will learn to live without being on the medication. It is a tough decision to make but you have to go with your gut on it as well as listen to your childs doctor. Good luck to you! Thanks for stopping in and commenting.

Can ADHD Be Treated Without Medication?

Brenda - I have to feel good about the things I have done for him or I would go crazy! We have given him a chance to be without meds but it just is not working out. He is back on them now. The deputy sheriff showed up at our door the other week because of some things he did in the neighborhood. Impulsive stupid things without thinking. I feel that if he would have been on his meds he would not have done it. He was also falling asleep in class every day without them. So now we are back to taking them every day and things seem to be falling back in place again. Thanks for reading and commenting. I always respect your comments on this subject.

A Trip Through Syd Barrett's The Madcap Laughs

Oh gosh! Yes, me too! So the million dollar question, would you sniff the tea first just in case? ;)

Iggy was sooo stoned when those pictures were taken. She answered the door to Storm and Mick while naked, then just finished putting kohl on Syd's eyes and carried on dancing. She can't even remember it today!

I think with Syd it was more thousands of ideas coming at the same time. He could get utterly fixated on something if his 'medication' pushed him in that direction, but generally it was a jumble of creativity rushing very fast through his mind. You can see it in the snippets of lyrics and in the way his glissando works.

I read recently someone guessing that he was actually ADHD, but I don't know. His sister, Rosie Breen, said that he was never officially diagnosed with anything.

He certainly did go with the flow. That was his genius before they even got famous. He hated the whole capitalist thing - pinned down to gigging and making hit records. He just wanted to make music and create art, while living the psychedelic dream.

I'm with you on seeing some envy there on the part of the others.

I'm so, so glad that you like this article and the others too! :D And even more stoked at finding another Syd fan on Wizzley! *happy dances*

A Trip Through Syd Barrett's The Madcap Laughs

I would love Love LOVE to have the opportunity to set down to tea with Syd Barrett, you know when they ask you if you could meet anyone alive or dead...

I imagine the girl in the first photo becoming transfixed on those lines, taking off her sandals and then all else paying homage to the art before her feet. Hmmm

Syd's genius was just that genius. I feel he became so filled by each creation welling up inside him and had the respect of it to single minded allow it to flow to fruition and only then could he focus on something else. He was not easily distracted quiet the opposite don't you think? I feel a bit of envy was suspect with many others observing his talents. But that's just me.

Love this, what a flood of insights and truth about the amazing Syd Barrett, the mad cap laughs. as of Pink Floyd, that's a thought for another day, I'm still out on that...

Oh BTW fantastic videos, off again to watch more and read over a bit more as I had to rush down here to comment!

Buying a Size 34 Bra in C,D, DD and DDD Cups

JoHarrington, I've been told by the women who size women at Victoria Secret that most all the women who come in for the first time are sized wrong. Many women just sort of start where they start and keep increasing the size as they grow often missing the mark once they reach maturity.

Buying a Size 34 Bra in C,D, DD and DDD Cups

I remember having mine measured once, by a proper tailor. Turned out that I'd been wearing the wrong size my entire adult life!

Why Am I Always So Tired - Stop Being Exhausted

samsara, I was recently told my vitamin D was low while having routine blood work. My doctor told me it could also make you feel tired. So now I'm on a vitamin D supplement, but this is being watched carefully. She wants me to come back for more blood work in six weeks to determine what I should do in way of continuing on the vitamin D supplement of discontinuing it. Good luck with your concentration related tired feeling, Sounds like you need Boron, I take boron and it makes a tremendous difference. I too tend to have low blood pressure, always have.

What is the Edwardian Era?

I've vaguely heard of that one. Please refresh my memory! Is it big enough to go into my list of Edwardian events?
