Toning down your articles will just make them boring.. Sure, it'll let more people understand your article, but for others, it'll just be a repetition of things they already know. It's much more interesting to discover new stuff every time you read something.
(And as Katie said, having them digging for veins hurts like hell... Happened once, and never wanted to repeat the experience...)

Some of my family'scats have come to us as kittens. Others we have no idea how old they were. My cat is very old, but no one knows how old.

Von von Vonn - Thank you for your pointers; and I'm glad that you liked the RS micro-transactions one. I'd disagree about writing a level below your target audience though. Wouldn't that end up patronizing, if you're dumbing down each level? I'd have thought it better to go up a level. Though, of course, always keeping it simple is good. Waffle on for the sake of waffling and you lose everyone.

Katie - I'm very glad that it was informative! Reading your comment made me proud to have written it, as it was highlighting precisely this sort of stuff that I wanted to get out there. It's a terrible subject to have to consider, so many people never do. They just assume that everything happens to the best of everyone's abilities. With lethal injection in particular, there seems a mindset that it's just like lying down and going to sleep. The only difference being that the victim doesn't wake up again later.

That long urination was just great though, it added to the point- a cat will sit there for a long time not just jump up start and get tired- i'd imagine a cats superior back legs (strong) don't get tired as easily as say a person squatting, and cat's have incredible balance they discovered due to an enlarged, I forget what it's called but it's that bunch of fiber in the middle of the brain hemispheres it's wider, the tail is also a balance tool... albus was doing the tail pee pee dance! Love it.

Thanks for reading, everyone! @nightowl, I would wait until the kitten is large enough to jump onto the seat by itself as well as strong enough to be able to balance itself on to toilet seat. So perhaps 3-4 months old? Gizmo and Albus were 1.5 when we started training them. Otherwise, I could see this method working for a child's training seat, too, if one were so inclined ;-) @ Jerrico, thank you for reposting the article, it means a lot! Albus is a a relatively big cat and he gets camera shy! I think the length of his urination might have been extended by his shy bladder. But you're right, it was a long one!

I love how the cats tail stops when she starts p-ing but how much water did she drink? She went longer than I've ever seen and I have 3 cats! lol... great article, I remember seeing this on Shark Tank, I was rooting for it to kick butt and it did.
