As a straight, married Christian woman I can't for the life of me see how gay marriage 'threatens' family values. None of our gay friends, partnered or single, threatens our marriage and - how could they? It is as absurd as saying that a heterosexual relationship threatens a homosexual relationship! Like you said Jo, nobody should be persecuted for who they are and whom they love! Well done, thumbs up and shared!

Excellent advice. I have three grown children and only one attended college (and she is still attending) so I've heard of most of these ideas. The tough part is getting the students (college kids) to agree with what we parents know to be common sense! I still have one more child to get through college, and these days a degree is a must for many jobs (or for advancement), when years ago it was not.

Isn't it funny when items you used to use on a daily basis become vintage curiousities. I think I'm getting old! These coasters would make a great talking point at party. Very cool.

Ah yes, swaddling worked well for our first son. It just seemed to make the second one very angry! We never managed to get him to sleep that way. I think they are all different.

My grandson, 5 months old, is swaddled so he sleeps longer, otherwise he jerks himself awake after 45 minutes or so. I'm not sure how much longer that will work for him, because he hates the process of being swaddled :-) My son and daughter-in-law also co-sleep with him at night. That way they can all get a reasonable amount of sleep at night!
