The Wizzley emails all go out the same time - because I just got mine in NZ as well! I don't care when I publish - I write for Google - so the sooner the better is the only criteria I have. If people want to follow me that's fine - they will see my stuff on my mailing list or on Wizzley - but the real money is in the Google searchers, the followers are just an ego thing

Why do people want to live with a bunch of old folks? I'm nearly 50 and my partner's nearly 60 - but I can't imagine living with ONLY over 55's - how dull!

@Ral - it's all a matter of ambiance. Get the write (sic., pun alert!) conditions and everything flows naturally. Don't have to squeeze the brain to get the creative juices out.
I love the Caribbean - favorite is sitting on a deserted island in the Grenadines with some seafood and a cool bottle of Soave, growing a beard and thinking of Thursday. I would have put Friday here, but I am hetero.
If the environment is not already there, then adjusting it slightly can help.

Absolutely got to get a pair of these. Endless possibilities. Subtitles for talking to people in different languages etc.

An interesting article as ever. Thank you. I also think that it depends on the person as well. I found that my most prolific writing was when I was sitting at a beach restaurant on a veranda some 100 feet from the sea in Belize. I also wrote easily when in a hammock overlooking the Bay of Honduras around dawn. Temperatures in the mid 20'sC and clad only in my swimming costume. However, I find that in UK I can work quickly and easily in the early morning as long as it is warm and the sun is up. I find that for me I cannot create the environment to speed things up but that the environment influences me.

Not sure if all e-mails from Wizzley go out at the same time. I thought they had our location and timezone but on looking on settings I cannot see them there. Might be an idea to ask someone from Wizzley in the US what time they get their e-mail.

Excellent article like always, Humagaia, I went through the same research when I decided on the best time to send out my Feedburner email, too early and it gets buried in the inbox, too late and nobody reads it until the next day ;-) I think Wizzley itself should re-think when they send out their notification email out, the one that informs us of new articles by authors we follow. I just got mine, but I am in Europe, so that is ok for me, but the US is still sleeping ...

My main concern would be if that glasses would also send back information to Google, for example about where the person wearing them is at the moment. Google would, like always, say that it is just to make the user experience better, but I think it would be just another step into the 'Big Brother is watching you' direction ....

I had been using scroogle for years, and am very sad to see it go. I can't believe anyone would have been attacking it without an agenda, as it was something that every internet user benefited from. It will be missed!

I've heard a lot of bad reports about Adsense so although I did start my pages with this I thought I might swap over to Chitika today as I have an active account that I'm interested to try out and can't really use it on my other writing sites. I will be interested to see how well it does by comparison.
