Hmmm crazy, honestly I'm not a big horror movie fan but my daughter and her friends are and since their just turning 13 I have to get up to speed with horror movies as I don't want them watching something they shouldn't. And for dogs ;-) Yes, it is more fun and it also changes your mind set from 'OMG I am a loser', to 'OMG, I am successful at something'. Makes a huge difference, at least for me. As for the validity of the Pareto Principle, ask any person that has a brick and mortar business, they will confirm this. Same for people that have other people working for them, 20% of the people contribute to 80% of the success ... I have yet to find something where it doesn't apply ;-)

This is excellent advice. Can't emphasize enough how important it is to get a thorough assessment of the house before giving an offer. I was in a hurry before I bought an apartment for an investment and discovered after renting it out the sub-standard renovations they did. I was lucky it didn't cost me too much to fix, and it was a good lesson.

This is an interesting approach. It is definitely more fun to examine successes than failures. It is the same principle as raising children - if you praise them for their good deeds and successes and ignore their less successful behaviours, they generally want to repeat what they did well and their less desirable behaviours extinguish. (It works for husbands as well.)

@Sheri, if anything I am always thorough! To the point of obsession sometimes I'f afraid. It scares many off, unless they know that there might be a snippet of information lurking in them thar (sic.) words, that will be of significance to their circumstance. I note that you found it, whatever it was. And I am pleased.
Author score has been vilified elsewhere (not on Wizzley) so I thought it was time I to address the situation and park myself in their corner.

Digby, I love the tote bag! I have to make one of those.
I featured the zebra duct tape on my Squidoo lens about hula hoops. Making your own hula hoop is another way you could use that snazzy tape you've got.
Duct tape is surely one of the best things ever invented, considering its variety of uses and its strength. I love the colorful ones. I used it in a number of ways when I worked as a parent educator making monthly house calls with info and activities for toddlers. I made toys with parents and kids, and duct tape was always in my take along bag of tricks.

Jane of course I would love to have my 120-day cookies last each and every day. The sad truth is most don't. My own security system, automatically checks my computer twice a day and deletes cookies. It actually calls them a security risk. This is the same program millions of Americans use, so I doubt many are leaving potential security risks on their computer.

Mike, hi again! To make it a little less confusing (I hope). When you tweet from the button to the right on all Wizzley articles, you may notice that there is #Wizzley added to the tweet with your title and URL. Why is this done? So that people, and sites, can find tweets that are related to Wizzley, but might otherwise not have Wizzley in the title. It is a flag that can be seen and searched for. One of the benefits of this is that certain programs on the net pick up on these flags and create such things as online newspapers. These are created by individuals by sifting all the # and picking out which one(s) would be relevant to the type of paper they wish to create (automatically).
Should we have the time some of us could create such papers using # with the extensions I have suggested. #Wizzley is already available, so starting there would be sensible.

Excellent article! One thing I would add, in terms of doing competition research is to do a quick search in Google "for your keywords in quotes". This will return all pages that contain your keywords 'somewhere'. Whilst it not fool proof, it does give you an idea if you are writing about a completely saturated topic or one that is not done to dead already ;-)
