Target Audience - Are you Writing for the Right Market?

As Wizzley is such a new site the audience demographics are still in flux. They will change (as more blokes arrive, perhaps). However, if you write for the audience demographic as it now stands, you are likely to see a benefit by association, and by having articles in categories that audience views.
I do not advocate trying to change it, especially as it is likely that the effect of this particular demographic will pay dividends in terms of adsense click values.
Fun times indeed (in more ways than one).
Thanks for your comments Sam & Mike.

The Woman in Black Movie 2012

Somehow my tolerance or ability to cope with thrillers seems to have declined as I've gotten older - I just don't feel like I want to put myself through it anymore! However I saw The Women in Black in the West End a few years ago and it was such an excellent show - I think I could easily be tempted to watch this film version. Thanks for a great review!

Target Audience - Are you Writing for the Right Market?

Well done sir, prior to reading this artical I had not looked at the numbers. You have opened my eyes.
I have always known writing for your market important, after all someone shoping at Wal-mart is less likely to be looking for a great bottle of wine, I believe, Boons farm is more to their liking, yes?
Be well, Mike

Tips and Tricks After 50 Pages on Wizzley

I'm bursting with pride over the response to this, so thank you very much. I am satisfied with where I am, however impatiently I wish I could fast forward to a year hence.

I've never been to HubPages. I've heard tell about it though.

Thank you for commenting, Paul.

St. Patrick's Day Cards and Invitations

A few weeks ago I had a huge sale on a St. Paddy's Day postcard from my main Zazzle shop. I love the vintage look on some of these cards.

How to Take Notes in the Shower

Perfect for people like me who are constantly writing thoughts, notes and reminders (my mind is always running but my memory is terrible)! Now can you please help me solve the flashes of inspiration while cycling problem? :)

Tips and Tricks After 50 Pages on Wizzley

Thanks for posting! I always enjoy reading about people's experiences of writing and earning! I do okay at HubPages, but I thought I would try branching out and putting my eggs in some other baskets, so I joined Wizzley just over a week ago! However good you are as a writer, search engines like Google think in months and years, not days and weeks, which is frustrating. If I am doing as well as you after a couple of months, I will be more than satisfied! :-)

Tips and Tricks After 50 Pages on Wizzley

When we're both rich and famous, we'll be able to look back to now and give ourselves a retrospective cyber high-five.

You're welcome and have a lovely day yourself. <3

Local travel experiences in Cambodia

Humagaia, yes it is incredible how grateful and generous Khmer people are. Always smiling, always welcoming, always wanting to share what they have. They love nothing more than to put on a large feast and invite you to enjoy it with them and sometimes mention that to do this is so important to them precisely because they know what it is like to starve. It is hard to really comprehend the what my friends there have lived through. I do love Cambodia - I was very fortunate to spend time living among Khmer people and to start to know and understand the place in a deeper way. There is much more I want to write but it's harder now I have left and I wish I had taken a million more photos to accompany my stories! Thanks for your wonderful comment!

Tips and Tricks After 50 Pages on Wizzley

Guten Morgen, Jo! ;-))

Yes, that’s one point: eggs in more than one basket. I use suite and pagewizz (what is in your country wizzley) for backlinks.

Have a nice day and thanks for your answer!

Tips and Tricks After 50 Pages on Wizzley

Guten morgen, Johannes!

I'm really glad that I was able to provide some motivation to go on. It is hard work, especially at the beginning. We need every trick in the book to persuade ourselves to just keep on writing. I wish you all the best in your endeavours. I've just checked out your profile and it seems that you're doing great!

Another Suite writer too? Having our eggs in more than one basket is always good.

Thanks for your point about the Editor's Choice. I am taking these tips on board!

Tips and Tricks After 50 Pages on Wizzley

Hello, Jo!
Thank you for this article: It is a motivation to go on. I started on the 24th of November last year on
http://pagewizz.com/autoren/jofl/
Since that I have written 34 articles with more visitors than on suite101 (since september 2009 148 articles). I agree to all what your mentioned beside one point, that Janet21 already mentioned: Editor’s choice may be good for those who don’t have enough selfconscouisness, for those, who think to be on first side is the same as to be the best. In other words (like Janet21 did): editor’s choice doesn’t pay the bills. ;-))

Talking to Somebody Who is Deaf in One Ear

You are very welcome. I know 'I love you' in British Sign Language, and now I know it in American Sign Language too. Always a good one to have!

How Does Chitika Work?

Hi Mary. I've looked through the Chitika terms and conditions. It's mostly concerned with content that complies with US law. I've also looked through their support forum and I can't see anything about banned content, other than that which is illicit in the USA.

I'll let you both know if I undercover anything else. I have e-mailed Chitika support to request that someone comes and reads this. Hopefully they'll be able to clarify and I'll report back. :)
