So be it with brandy or orange juice! (I consider creating one with the former and one other with the latter!)

Why do you dislike sherry?

I have never heard of a monastery that used a butler, though there might have been one in some of the great monastic houses of the past. Similarly, while I can envisage a monastery needing a housekeeper, but it may have included in a different position.

Personal choice . The cake is cooked for a long time so the alcohol content will burn off. However, for people who are ethically opposed to alcohol, they might want orange juice. I dislike sherry. I would use brandy. But it comes down to what you like.

Assuring good air, light and moisture circulation aids plant health against such pests as mealybugs, scale, spider mites and thrips.

Any cultivation of Tenerife dragon trees avoids high-nitrogen fertilizers.

Spider-mite pests act as plant-leaf feeders.

The afore-noted pests nourish themselves even as fine webbing nestles into those niches.

Spider mites number among arachnid pests even as they note among their relatives scorpions and spiders!

Still other pests involve such arachnids as ticks.

Scientific classifications link pesty ticks to such arachnids as scorpions and spiders!

Thrip-insect pests act as plant-sap feeders.

The afore-mentioned meal-making manifests as brown-gray or brown-silver speckled patches that mean major scars on Tenerife-dragon tree leaves.

Other pests include such arachnids as mites.

Scientific classifications link pesty mites to such arachnids as scorpions and spiders!

Scale-insect pests act as plant-fluid feeders.

The afore-listed feeding leaves dome-shaped, hard bumps whose attachments link them to older stems and wood.

The afore-listed pest leaves cottony, waxy white-massed debris.

In a somewhat related -- because about gardening duties -- but somewhat unrelated -- because about great houses, not religious orders -- direction, am I correct in ascribing to gardening activities the higher-order actions of such "higher-authority, higher-order" positions as butler and housekeeper?

Usually monks do their own gardening, unless age and ill health prevent their working. So the monk gardeners would most likely be members of the religious order.

For those asking about insect pests of ngwayir populations, Pseudochirulus peregrinus occidentalis faces one main insect-pest type.

That insect pest is fleas!

The Virginia Garden Club arranges their activities calendar such that the last week in the month April attracts garden-appreciators and gardeners to the Unitedstatesian-oldest gardens of the Virginia Commonwealth.

The afore-indicated itinerary is illuminating, informative, interesting, irreplaceable.

What about a similar tour of historic gardens and of historic houses in each state of the United States?
