Steel and silver spider pendant, ring, bracelet, brooch and cufflinks

The silk used by a spider to make its webs is about 10% of the thickness of a human hair, but is even stronger than steel wire of the same gauge. So stainless steel jewellery with a spider motif is sort of appropriate, somehow! Amazon does several cool stainless steel spider rings, all of which are for men and therefore come in larger sizes (i.e. size 9 upwards), although they'd look good on women too - maybe as a thumb ring if your fingers are too small. The great thing about stainless steel jewellery is that it's very keenly priced yet sleek looking, and doesn't stain or tarnish either - stainless steel is therefore the ideal jewellery material if you're after something low maintenance that looks more expensive than it really is.

Amazon has a range of sterling silver spider rings at prices to suit you - all the way from around $10 for a sterling silver toe ring with crawling spiders (can be worn on your pinky finger too), to AzureBella's leaf ring, which is made from sterling silver embellished with a 14K gold-plated frog, ladybug and spider! While browsing, my eye was drawn to Silver Insanity's spider jewellery, in particular their sterling silver spider pendant with a black onyx gemstone for a body. The pendant is 7/8 of an inch tall - big enough to be noticed, but not too massive! It doesn't come with a chain but there is the option to add a chain when you reach the checkout, for a small extra price. Silver Insanity also does some cool matching sterling silver spider earrings, which also have black onyx bodies!

Cufflinks don't tend to feature in a superhero's wardrobe but if Spiderman wore cufflinks, he might go for Cuff Daddy's version, in rhodium-plated silver with purple enamel in a spider's web pattern. You can also buy Cufflinks' Spiderman mask cufflinks - these aren't sterling silver, but make a fab gift for any Spiderman fanatics out there.

If you want to spend a bit more cash, the onyx and sterling silver brooch by Novica could be for you.  It's 40mm (over 1.5 inches) long and also has a bale, allowing it to be worn as a pendant too!  The pendant is made by Peruvian designer Zoila Hidalgo and is sure to attract admiring comments from fellow spider-lovers.  Amazon.com also has some excellent gold spider pendants and charms to choose from, including a 14k yellow gold, grey pearl and conflict-free diamond spider pendant from their own collection, which comes with an 18" chain.
