5 Hunger Games Cupcake Ideas

OK now these require a little work to create, but if you can handle working with fondant a bit you can create these. You will need some skills, but it is doable and Fictional Food has even shared a step by step video showing how it is done. The gold Mocking Jay Pin Cupcake topper was created using Fondarific Black Fondant and Edible Gold Glaze. I think these are amazing and so well done and the cupcake itself was made with multiple colors to resemble fire.

I absolutely loves these Hunger Games Cupcakes with the colors of the fire and the ring of crushed Oreo Cookies. I think they are genius and easy enough for anyone to create. A mix of Red, Orange and Yellow frosting is used to create the fire as it comes out a pastry bag with a star tip.Then it is edged with crushed Oreos. Add a great Hunger Games topper like they did and you are in business.

Now in the picture it is really Hunger Games Cookies, but the idea they used to create them can be used on cupcakes as well. I love the simplicity of this idea very much. The Mockingjays are created with piping- all they did was trace the picture on wax paper. They used Royal Icing, but you can also do it with Chocolate.
