Thanks for this article. I enjoyed it. :) I also took a look at furniture on ebay, following one of your links. Does shipping furniture cost a lot? I'm asking just out of curiosity :-)

Cecil Woodham-Smith's 'The Great Hunger' owned my world, when I first started researching this period in history. My history lecturer had to step in and remind me that you did need to refer to several texts, not just rely on one source. LOL

I agree that it's not for the faint of heart. It's a downright devastating testimony to what happened then.

It's horrific that any country should know the meaning of marasmus, except in an historical context. Unfortunately, way too many still do.

As your family were Catholic, I'm going to assume that they didn't buy their way out of the genocide. Their story is certainly one worth uncovering.

Barbarab - Glad to have provided some motivation for you! Good luck with your writing!

Louise - I really do have a passion for writing, always have, always will. :) Are you blogging on your own site? The learning curve is much bigger than I ever imagined, when I set out here. I also look forward to reading your future articles. :D

Hi Jean,

I'm glad that you liked it. I'll have to go and check out your article. Were the two ladies able to have their child in the end?

Hi jo. Great article and I can see that you have a real passion for writing. I must confess that after writing a couple of articles for wizzley, I gave up on it, as I prefer blogging as an outlet for my creativity and textbroker for the cash!

Your postcards are full of good advice and I strongly agree with the mantra of writing every day. Writing is addictive and we can all only improve as time gos on. It is a massive learning curve.

I look forward to reading your future articles.

I use vitamin C in what is called over here a "tonic solution."

Yes, HA has been in the media an awful lot lately, but I never knew what it did, even as I did buy some care products that had it in their formula (I like to keep changing them). As for vit. C, yes, I do believe in it.

I've heard of them but didn't know anything about them. Thanks for an interesting article!

That Chaps tunic is really nice. And I love the Levi's. That style is my favorite :-)

I have very long hair and have always stuck to my preference for it despite friends trying to talk me into having it cut short. So NOT happening. My hair spends most of it's time in braids. So easy and comfortable, especially in hot or windy weather.

You have an interesting view on it being easier than short hair. I've never had short hair (my shortest has been shoulder length) but now I think of it it's actually really logical. Great point to make :)

I've absolutely loved mahogany furniture since I was a young child. Beautiful wood.

Fascinating read! I hope to visit Israel someday; it is an amazing country.

Wow. Fascinating products! So the mascara isn't hard on your lashes? May have to try some. The drops, too!

Thanks Mira, Greenhouses are a lot of fun, we're building one out of our spare bedroom...

I am back and forth between here and HubPages and I really enjoyed this...a great article and a wonderful motivator for me..I needed itn today! Thank you!
