One of nature’s most perfect killing machines dozes in the afternoon heat. We watch the cat sleep as other jeeps crowd around us like a pack of dholes, the wild dogs that hunt inside the park. People gasp and point, then click their cameras from the safety of their vehicles. Slowly, the tiger opens one eye, and with a casual glance in our direction, locks me in a gaze so powerful that all else disappears. After licking its paws and stretching its back, the cat rises to its feet. Then the tiger turns its head and walks deeper into the forest until it disappears.

I like your example of a good wizzography, I plan on changing my own to be more functional as is yours. Do you plan on creating other wizzographies?

This is amazing, I'm not sure I feel text speak should be added to the dictionary as it takes away the mystery for those who don't know it while those of us who do enjoy the divide. Very interesting and refreshing article. Looking forward to more of your work. :)K

Thank you, Frances, for a nice article! I wish I were able to visit London more often. I love the city -- there's just so much to see, and the vibe is great :-). Add to that the great museums, which tell different stories each time, partly because the temporary exhibition change, and partly because you, too, change, learning new things and seeing old things differently.

frugalrvers, This is very good advice, thank you for adding it. My Mom was diagnosed with a illness having no cure and destine to take her life. She decided she wanted to have a living wake, which we did,and go to the funeral home making all the arrangements herself with my sister and I. While it was hard to think of her passing it was wonderful to celebrate her while she was still in good health and able to enjoy all the friends and family. Now that I look back on it I'm relieved the final arrangements are all taken care of and paid for. This all happened over the past year and a half. My Mom is still with us and hopefully for many more years but it is nice that we don't have to think about what if as everything has been finalized by her and we can get on with enjoy the time we have left.

Hi Lissie, thanks for your article! I think Wizzley is wonderful for the community I'm getting to know as well as for its power and simplicity, as you say. I find I post stuff here much faster than elsewhere, and it's all optimized for better Google ranking and search results -- as you say. I'm certainly glad I found this site after years of trying to make it completely on my own, with my own Web site. The samme strategies applied on Wizzley get you there faster -- I think; will have to wait and see, but so far I like what I see :-).

It's a town of contrasts, the old and the new.

It's so important that people take the time to tell their loved ones what they want while alive - then they aren't falling prey to the big business of funeral homes (guilt trips you are "cheap" etc.). Just write them down, talk openly with family and choose someone as executor who you trust to follow through with your last wishes.

I can't stress enough how, when dealing with the funeral arrangements for my mom January 2012, while dealing with shock of her sudden passing...I felt I was being sold a vacuum cleaner. Burial or cremation isn't as important as feeling comfortable you are fulfilling your loved one's final wishes.

Oh my how cute. I love these and sure any little girl would as well, hmmm wonder if they come in my size.
