Hiya 2uesday! I'm pleased that I was able to clarify it. This is another of those subjects that comes and goes in importance. Sometimes people are advising not to worry about bounce rate. Other times, it's the most important aspect of all.

Whatever the fashion, it's good to know what it actually is! On top of that, I think it's good practice to interlink your articles. Each time you do that, you give yourself a chance to attract a reader to your other stuff.

Not only the individual meanings of words have changed; there's a whole mindset change that has also occurred. I think translations can sometimes use the prejudices of the day to add layers of meaning that weren't there in the original as well as to cover up or mask the intentions of what was actually written. You've mentioned that a person has to be careful that a translation suits his or her purpose, but my take is that a person has to also learn a little of the history of Christianity to know how accurate a translation is in the first place. Translating anything can be tricky, but in the case of the Bible, which for many of us contains the words of life, altering the message is something that has to be guarded against. The Bible is addressed to each of us, not just people who lived a long time ago, but are we listening to the words of Christ, or are we listening to what someone wants those words to say -- jazzed up to suit the times?

Ruby - it's really quite obvious once you know, isn't it? The next problem is to try and forget it again, because concentrating too much on line length interrupts the flow. Then hopefully, the third and final step is to find a balance.

Yeah, kind of a macro in OpenOffice *warning your sentence contains more than nine words, you need to put in a period - NOW* would be handy ;-)

I have often found that moving one's body can help some people with memorization, too. Part of writing it down is just that -- moving your hand as you make the letters to the words. It's important to realize that it's not just our brain that remembers things. Some things we remember with our whole bodies or with our whole persons -- body, soul, and spirit. When memorizing the Bible, this is especially important. We are not simply trying to repeat words by rote but to have those words settle into our hearts.

Hi JShea! I can identify with your struggles. And don't worry that you may have to work as a nurse's aide for quite a while. It's a noble profession that will give you lots of experience with understanding human nature that will make you an even better writer. Having a regular writing routine that you can persist in, despite whatever else you may have to do, will bring you closer to accomplishing your goals. There are very few writers who can support themselves only by their writing. Even some of those whose books you so love had to teach or do other work that used up their time. I find myself that sometimes when I step back from my writing projects for weeks or even months, I can tackle them with new insights. I also find it helps if I carry along a notebook I can write in wherever I go and jot down ideas, impressions, etc, as I eat my lunch or linger over a cup of tea. I'm sure you'll find your own writing habits that will sustain you. I look forward to reading your serial. All the best!

I actually like bitter vegetables, they add an interesting flavor as long as you don't use too much. Combining it with onions sounds great.

Interesting to see the mineral count, there's a good amount of potassium there. I suffer from high blood pressure and am always looking for foods high in potassium and low in sodium. Looks like I may have to increase the number of carrots I eat!

Vouchers for Pampers and other disposable nappies also come in very handy for would-be parents. They arn't as flashy as the other gifts, but boy do people appreciate them once the baby has arrived!

You can store some of the ebooks in the cloud which means you don't lose them if your computer crashes or if you need to change computers. And it's also possible to scan print books so you get an electronic copy, and then print as necessary.
