Yea those are cool, we're using a couple to grow our own herbs if we can keep the cats away from them :)

It really does work much better. And cheap too!

Music triggers wonderful memories from our past. Enjoyable article, voted up.

Hello katiem2, thank you for your visit and comments. It is an excellent ice breaker at parties especially when conversion is stilted.

I love finding old graffiti, though the example that you found was particularly sad. In Shakespeare's house, in Stratford-upon-Avon, there is graffiti on the wall dating back as far as the 17th century. There's perspex protecting it now!

What a great idea! Much better than washing clothes by hand in a bathtub or washtub.

Very distressing, yes. Thank you very much.

I'm glad it was helpful Cecylia :)

Distressing but well written. Thank you

Thank you for reading and commenting.

I'll bear all this information in mind when the next one comes around!

You know what I'm talking about!

Great series of articles!

If you reckon so, then I'll keep it. I was quite proud of that title (though it does owe a debt to Gwyn Williams's 'When Was Wales?'). It's the only one of my history ones which gets few hits though. The page rank suffers accordingly.

Mind you, that might not be the title. It might be the Wizzle itself!

Me too! I was alone researching all of this! Though Mr Crick at the end made me laugh.
