Please re-read my comment, Lani, as there I made the distinction between games that run in browser, streaming their data and running as an executable in the background -- as in the browser version of Fiesta -- which streams all the client data and is so laggy, when I tried it today, I was no joke waiting 10x as long as I was playing, even on the very lowest settings, or Runes of Magic which implements the Kalydo system far more smoothly but still was pretty laggy; there is a difference between browser-viewed games like that, and games that, like Runescape, use a Java app so they can run on pretty much any setup without needing to install/run something separate. Of course if you have an 8GB client you're streaming, a la Fiesta, you're able to make a game that plays in the browser that does more. Compare that to the Runescape "client", which is essentially just a stripped-down version of Internet Explorer. It's like the difference between downloading a movie and playing it on your computer, and watching one on Youtube. Of course you'll be able to do a lot more with the one on your computer -- you're manipulating the data with an entire computer's brains at your disposal. On Youtube, you're limited to what your browser and the backend systems can do.

When I first started playing Runescape, it was on a dial up connection with a terrible speed. I always remember doing Desert Treasure. When I went to the vampire boss fight, I was the last to know that I'd been killed. I had clan members surrounding me and one waiting at my respawn spot. They had tried to shield me, but as soon as the call went out that I was dead, they merely collected my stuff and headed off to Falador with it.

I had no idea. I was still staring at the start of the fight, frozen on my screen! I just had to hope that my auto-retaliate and clan security guards were enough. Bless them, I had all of my stuff back before I was even back.

So yes, I hate to imagine what it's like now, with all of the improved graphics. I'm fortunately on a better computer myself now and even I still lag at times.

What a delightful boy band, one direction, the mob was crazy when they appeared here in the states on the today show, what a huge crowd, don't think I've ever lived to see anything like it, these tees will be a huge hit.

thanks @Terrilorah, and you can do it with anything they love, fruit by the foot boxes, cereal boxes (bigger notebooks), and more. I saw some shopping bags at a store in Lincoln City that were made from cloth, cereal boxes, bags that used to be chips cleaned out and padded inside with cloth (and either stapled or sewn in or even glued in)- it's a great way to recycle and create something really cool! Glad you liked it.

Hi Flora, a great tribute to one of the great character actors. Leo plays a prominent role as the main villain in one of those Hitchcock movies you've listed. Which one could it be? Oh I know you know. :)

I totally believe in soul mates. I saw a movie once about split aparts it was cool. Split aparts is believed to be one person divided into two one female and the other male. It is said they roam the earth aching and feeling a void till, if ever, they find each other and when and if they do it is unmistakeable.

Here's an interesting tid bit many of the older MMOs are now smaller in download compared to Runescape. The download cache on my PC is now nearly 400MB it was less then 200MB not so long ago. Sure it's small still compared to trying to install something like AOC but how accessible is that to someone on Dialup or DSL? It would take a good few hours on a slower connection to get all the files to play lag free downloaded. All these new graphics are coming with a price soon you'll need a better internet connection to play RS. DSL1 dosn't even cut it for FunOrb here.

P.S you think RS is pushing what a browser can do? No not even close just read some of the responses Jagex themselves have said in recent interviews Browser/Java is not a limitation anymore. We will be seeing more & more MMOs doing the browser thing soon enough. Jagex was just first to do it at a decent level. Jagex is not even coming close to pushing the limits as there are no limits anymore they have been removed everything you can do for a large installation can be accomplished the way Jagex dose it now.

katiem2 - gardens can be so relaxing to enjoy working in and to just enjoy sitting in! I think it is great that you have been able to find features about different gardening styles and to then combine them into a garden that is uniquely your own. That is truly awesome. it sound like it is lovely and relaxing!
