Things I Love About Wizzley: No Hubpages Bull
@Angel Yes my username is the same at HP (and everywhere for that matter), but you will not find very many articles there that will help you (unless you want to know about Google, how to teach your child, gold, tennis bracelets, decoding product registration marks, or my rants about British politics and politicians). Although my brand is the same across the internet (just type in humagaia to any search engine), each location at which I write has a different emphasis.
Here at Wizzley, as it is a new young platform. writing the articles from which you can learn about how I think we can all make the most out of it, fall on receptive ears. At Hubpages they would be lost in the noise of the site, and fall on deaf ears. There are many more experienced and established writers there than here (the quality has arrived here), who have entrenched views and bigoted attitudes towards anything that has not been rehashed and regurgitated a million times before by so-called gurus. There are a few that are worth listening to (like 'sunforged', who is here also, but floating in the ether, a wraith, watching rather than writing - you would do well to read him there) but not many.
So here I write about what I think will help and assist, both myself (the main person that will listen, as I write I learn something new each time) and those that want to listen. However, once I reach 100 articles, then the emphasis may be skewed towards more earning articles than informative articles.
But making a living out of writing articles is not just about the individual. It is about the community in which they write. It is like an ant or bee colony: an individual ant or bee has little chance of survival (and is something that can be sacrificed, note to self: HP experience), whereas when they act as a single organism, being social and not self-serving, amazing things can happen. Likewise at a writing site. If we all pull together in the same direction, with knowledge and planning, ...............you get my drift.
Wizzley has built the nest; the buzz is going out to attract new writers, who are being nurtured; the output is being recognised and appreciated; which, in turn, generates the buzz. And so the cycle goes, growing ever bigger in a vortex or maelstrom, but swirling outwards instead of inward upon itself. The black hole is in motion at HP, no light will exit it shortly.
