Baby Bottle Favor Ideas

Incorporating baby gear into the favors is a great way to keep the gifts connected to the shower theme. However, handing out a bunch of baby bottles to guests is kind of strange. What's the chances that any of the guests have their own babies at that time and will use the bottles, let alone all of them?

Don't discount baby bottles yet. It's all in the presentation. What else will go with those baby bottle favors?

Fill Them with Candy!

Use the baby bottles as a vehicle for something sweet, candy! Everybody loves candy. Instead of just handing out baggies with candy, fill up a small baby bottle with colorful candies or chocolates and tie a ribbon around the top to make baby bottle favors.

Baby bottle make cheap baby shower favors because all you need is bottles, candy to fill them, and ribbon to tie around the top. You can add other accents as well.

First, you will need to gather your supplies. Here is what you will need:

• baby bottles
• candies
• ribbon
• labels and other crafts are optional

You can find these materials at your local supermarket and craft store, or you can find the products you need below.

You can purchase real bottles, but they can get expensive, especially if you have a lot to buy. Below Amazon sells a variety of small plastic bottles designed for baby shower favors.

You can fill the bottles with just about any candy you want, but I prefer M&Ms. They are the perfect size, colorful, and chocolate. Chocolate is usually a preference among crowds. 

You can use regular sized M&Ms, or you can use mini M&Ms. Mini M&Ms are especially good for smaller bottles. If the baby shower is around Easter time, look for pastel colored M&Ms or other candies. Pastels go best at baby showers because they match the decor.

M&Ms come in so many different flavors these days. You can offer a variety and label each bottle. This way, everyone can get their favorite flavor like peanut butter or dark chocolate.

This is where you can get creative. You can design labels on the computer and print them out. Include such things as:

• Baby's name (if it's known)
• It's a Boy(Girl)!
• Bible verse
• Cute Phrase
• Type of candies inside
• Parents' names

These are just a few suggestions. You don't need to use them all and you can certainly add your own ideas. Also, put a design on the labels that matches the theme of the party such as a rattle, flowers, etc. Is it a jungle theme? Put monkeys on the bottle labels. Is it a Pooh Bear theme? Add Pooh, Piglet, and Tigger to the bottles. You can even have a character designate each M&M flavor if you have more than one. You get the idea.

If you're more artistic than computer skilled, you can write on the labels yourself and/or hand paint them. People are always impressed with handmade things like labels. If you have a lot of people helping, this step won't be so bad. If you're doing it yourself and there are a lot of guests, you're probably better off using the computer to save time.

Tie a ribbon around the top and set a bottle on each place setting. Or, put the bottles in a pretty basket with cloth inside and instruct the guests to pick up a bottle favor as they walk out the door. Don't forget to thank them for coming!
