The line is distinct, in that it aims to teach children the meaning of different words and increase their vocabulary. As the toys are also fun, they hold the child’s attention. Fisher Price Laugh and learn targets the range of children aged between six and 36 months. One toy in this range is the laugh and learning farm. This consists of an arch with a gate, which children are able to crawl through. The farm has more than 30 different songs and more than 40 words. Many of these are associated with specific actions of the child, for example when the door of the barn is opened the toy says “open”. The toy also focuses on many opposite phrases, such as muddy and clean.

Another toy in the laugh and learn range is the laugh and learning puppy. This is a soft toy puppy dog that has different body parts named. It has two different modes. The first focuses on learning, where the six hot spots on the dog are used to teach the alphabet, colors and body parts. The second mode is game mode, which uses songs and fun phrases. Regardless of what mode is used, the puppy provides hours of both learning and entertainment. It is worth noting that the dog is in demo mode by default, which results in his songs cutting short. Taking him out of this mode is simple, just remove the tab in his back.
