First off, I'd like to apologize for the lack of articles on my end. I've been busy lately and I hit a little bit of writers block but I do have some exciting news to share...
After some time off from school, some soul searching, and a lot of prayers to God, I've decided to pursue a bachelors degree in literature with the hopes of being an actual novelist some day :) The school I'm looking at offers BA and MA programs in creative writing so if all goes smoothly, I could end with a masters degree as well. My family is excited but I think they're more like, "literature? Oh that's cool." I thought my fellow Wizzley authors would appreciate the major with a little more enthusiasm. ;)
Anywho, just thought I'd share. God bless ya'll!

That's wonderful news. I can't wait to hear about all the fabulous courses you're taking the books you'll be reading.

Your decision reminds me of my decision in my thirties. I was set on writing non-fiction, so I decided that I would benefit from deeper study. I took a part time master's degree in Philosophy. This degree so enriched my life and benefited my writing. While a degree is not the be all and end all of being a writer, it surely helps, for it improves your mind, the place whence writing comes. You are taking the right path. Good luck and success!

Good for you! It will expand your mind at the very least, which is always a good thing.
