I started a new page a few days ago -- I hadn't seen that topic yet on Wizzley and  I'm excited about it -- but I let it sit while I finished other projects....and yesterday I saw there's a brand new page on the same topic.

Sheesh -- and it's a well-written page too!   Great minds think alike, I guessSmile

So I have to figure out if it makes sense for me to write another article on the same topic, and how to change the focus a little.   Or maybe just go find something else to write about!

It's okay to have more than one article on the same topic.  I was concerned about that two as I've taken many of Chefs title ideas and ran with them.  I wonder if we could develop some sort of checks and balance on that as articles can't be found in a search until they've been published.  hmmm good question.  I think you should publish it  and see.

Go ahead and publish your articles. Just a few pages on the same topic is not a bad thing.

Try to aim for a different keyword so that you are not fighting for the same traffic.

Not necessarily bad Google will happly show 2 relevant pages from the same site - particularly if they are linked together - which on Weebly they will be because of the related pages sidebar. More than 2 then I'd think again - but only 2 - that's OK

Thanks for all your replies :-)   I'll see what I can do about focusing on a different keyword, or I might still just let it sit for awhile.   I have other pages I've started and haven't finished that could use some attention first maybe.

I could also write it for Squidoo instead, but it does seem like I get more traffic more quickly on what I publish here.

Kajohu,

So many good options and sites to choose from to publish an article, that really sounds like you want to get published. Good luck and hope you do decide to publish it - - - somewhere Laughing
