Well...
We made the decision today (finally).
The big one.
The "this is it" one.
We're turning a new page in our lives and I am soooo melancholy. I've lived and breathed writing online for years. Though we will still sell little gems we find at thrift stores during our travels (which involves working online), keep Zazzle going for a bit and are determined to complete our rv tips book (thanks Jo and Sam for inspiration and training!), we decided to pull the plug today.
Of course we will leave everything up and running - but we've officially decided it is time to move on, turn off the computers and have more free time to laugh, explore and enjoy this crazy world.
I will always be checking in here, because I consider so many of you friends...but wanted to share with you that we finally called it quits all of the way today.
No sour grapes, disappointment or anything like that...we're just turning over a new page.
Though by far not my best writing online (more blubbery and rambling), I posted it on my rv blog today:
YOU CAN READ IT HERE
Wish you all nothing but luck, love and happiness!

Yes, we will miss you, Robin and Jim.
And yes, we envy you.
Enjoy the heck outta your life and know that you inspire a lot of people to dream a little bit harder.
Love,
Achim

One needs to make that big decision one day. I am happy that you are going to enjoy the life at fullest without the need of freaky gizmos and online presence.

Part of me is cheering you both on like mad, while the other part knows I'll miss you.

Speaking as a computer addict, I think you've made the right decision. I need to do the same. Congratulations!

Good luck and God bless in your brave new offline world. I can see your point, but I can't see me ever doing that!
Described by one of my clients as 'a literary grammarian', writing, researching and reading are requirements for sanity, at least this side of the keyboard.
