I'm still in South Sudan and will be here till Tuesday. But yesterday and today I have finally had some downtime. My whole visit here I have only had time to write emails to friends and put up some photos on my facebook account. I must say that I have missed my wizzley connection.
I have a boss who works us to the bone here. Three weeks of teaching (and weekends in between planning the next week's schedule) is very intense and also fascinating and satisfying. This is my third time in South Sudan and fourth time in Africa.
Just wanted to let you know that I'm doing well and my head is slightly overwhelmed with the past weeks of work (and the news coming out of Israel the past few days).
I have two meetings tomorrow - one a semi-counselling session with someone here and the other a meeting with the police and social services to talk about continuing cooperation between the two ministries to promote awareness activities in communities here to try to reduce the incidences of domestic and sexual violence. Then, Tuesday morning another meeting and off to the airport. I'm ready to go home.
So "hello guys".

Hi Sheri,
It's nice to hear from you. Your time in Sudan sounds like it's been quite hectic, but very necessary of course. I think everyones just been really busy writing and getting ready for the Christmas 'frenzy' I know I have. The news coming out of Israel and Gaza is not good I'm afraid, it's dominating the news and all the front pages. Here's hoping that they'll be some kind of cease fire soon. Look forward to seeing you back, and reading more about your time in Sudan. :)

Hi Sheri, Thanks for that update on your very busy life! It's good to hear from you and I hope to see some photos and / or stories from your time in Sudan when you finally get time.
It is frightening what is going on in Gaza and Israel and I hope you will be safe when you get back there.

Thanks, guys. Anyone who is interested can go to my facebook page: www.facebook.com/oz.sheri and see photos I've already put up there from this trip. That is only a small number of those I took and more will be coming. I will also write another article in addition to one I have just started while still here (but that is geared for the adventure traveler in general).
One more night in Juba. Tomorrow afternoon I fly home. Hurray!

I'm hoping you stay safe, too.
I've looked at your facebook photos. Great pictures! I especially like the ones of the people. I'm looking fowrard to hearing your story of getting stuck in the mud. When I lived in Quebec, we had five seasons per year -- mud season came between winter and spring.
