"phishing"

Suddenly my Kaspersky antivirus started blocking the ads that come up on the Wizzley pages I open and on my Yahoo mail page only.  It has never done this before.  I can't see where to turn it off.

Has this happened to anyone else?

It is all Wizzley pages or just mine and yours? 

About a year or two ago, Kaspersky started making false positives on Adsense. It only lasted a few days, but there was a furore about it.  For those people with articles or sites monetised by Adsense, there was a sudden drop in revenue.  This is because Kaspersky was (and possibly still is) one of the leading anti-virus programs going.

It was a bug, kicking off in the Adblocker section of Kaspersky. Their tech team got on it and, one up-date later, it was all good.

I ask if it's just mine and yours, because I wonder if that situation is currently being repeated with Chitika.  Yahoo monetises with Chitika, not Adsense, for obvious reasons.  (Google being the opposition and all.) 

Maybe there's an article in here for you.  You have the screenshots!  No doubt a lot of people will be looking it up at the moment.

You go for it Jo.  Miraculously just a moment ago, it stopped as suddenly as it began.  I'm glad for your response, however, because now I understand why it was happening.

They got onto it fast, eh?

I should imagine there were some Very Stern Phone Calls in the background. ;)
