My power has been out for the last 24 hours. When you listen to my electric company's recorded message, they say go to their website or twitter to receive updates (great at work, not so great at home). Aside from it being a good topic or whether the search engines can generate traffic for it, the question I have is, if I built a Wizzley article titled "Things to do During a Power Outage", would anyone actually read it?

People with smart phones could, if they wanted to (and their phones were charged). SEO Praxis: Specializing in WordPress Hosting and Small Business Web Design.

Yes, I thought about iphones, ipads and things like that. If they have one, then they would probably be playing games or surfing the web for other things. Not sure if they would search on power outages. Visit me on Hubpages. Learn more ways to Make Money Online.

Did you do keyword research for the topic? I would say that is the first place to look. If people are searching for those terms...ya just might have a winner. |

I didn't do any keyword research on it, as I was looking at from a pure non-technical standpoint. The people that would search on the topic would be people who have lost their power, and as the theory goes, couldn't search on it. Would anyone search on the topic while they have power, not sure, but I would suspect not. Visit me on Hubpages. Learn more ways to Make Money Online.
