Social networking is one of the most essential things to learn when it comes to online work. Which has been your favorite or rather which network has helped you the most in getting traffic? For me twitter and G+ has been a total failure

I'm curious about this, too. I get visitors from my blog and from Pinterest. |

Strange!
Actually some of my visitors come from blogs I comment on, so that's always worth doing, but ONLY if you would have done so anyway - trawling for places to leave links is a bit dodgy. |

I do come here and tweet some of my articles and occasionally add them to G+ or FB. I like to include links to them when I blog, or post on my website. A lot of what I write here corresponds with my blogs. Truthfully I don't know which ways are best, and it all depends on so many factors. I don't like to think about it for too long.. |

Pinterest is by far and away the best for me. Here on Wizzley it accounts for well over 50% of my traffic. By comparison, Search Engines are making up just over 20% of my traffic. I'm on pinterest daily just for short periods of time (as in a spare 5 mins here and there) pinning every single new article and every single updated article article too which normally get pinned on a variety of different boards. But I never just pin my own work, I pin far, far more that doesn't belong to me either repins or images from places and websites which welcome pinning like article sites and big venues like etsy. After pinterest, I like Google + and am also getting started with a Facebook Page and Instagram to see how they go. I do think it is very important to be more proactive in terms of finding my own traffic and not just hoping that search engines would send some my way which is what I used to do :) Traffic has increased significantly here on Wizzley and elsewhere since I've put in efforts to do little bits of promotion every day. I think what matters most is finding social networks that we get on with and that work. I don't get on with Twitter - tried it twice to no avail but other people get great results. So what works for one person might not hold true for someone else. Just trying out new things can be helpful. |

Pinterest seems to work for me as well. Stumbleupon drives traffic, but I'm not sure it's the type of will buy products. But you never know. A lot of my traffic here is from Pinterest. One of my blogs is getting almost all of its traffic from Pinterest. I don't pin all my own articles either, and I try to stick to a ratio of one of my articles to 10 of those written by someone else. Most of my traffic here doesn't come from search engines, but that's OK because I don't want to depend upon them exclusively. I closed out my Facebook account, but others have generously posted links back to some of my sites elsewhere, so I get traffic from Facebook on another site.
