Amazon Affiliate Link. How to?

Shortly after joining Wizzley I applied to Amazon for an affiliate link but I was turned down - no explanation of course.  Now i think I'll try again, but could someone tell me if I should put an image of a book, CD, DVD or anything else that Amazon sells on my article page, or does Amazon pick the titles up automatically.  It would mean probably using Amazon's own illustration for the article.
