Amazon and Wizzley

Recently on another content site (InfoBarrel) two members lost their Amazon accounts because they were using their accounts with that site. Now, the reason given, in one case was that it was a forum site. Which it isn't. The fact that the user couldn't control the look of the site also seemed to be a problem. This has raised concerns with me about using my Amazon account on any site I don't control.

Have Amazon officially approved Wizzley as a site that people who don't own Wizzley can use Amazon on? Although this is the type of site they didn't have problems with in the past, it seems that it's possible that they now do. I am reluctant to keep using the site, and risking my Amazon account, without a definite response from Amazon regarding the site.

My guess would be that other rules for Amazon Associates were violated.  You can promote Amazon products on Wizzley, HubPages, Whyrll, Social Networks and your own sites.

No, it was stated by Amazon that the problem was the type of site. Basically, it seems, because it wasn't owned by the affiliate. I'm getting the impression that Amazon is becoming a lot less tolerant, and rejecting things they would once have approved of. Besides, there really aren't any ways of violating Amazon's terms on sites like these, because they use a standard format for people to use. I'm sure I've read something recently that says social networking sites are prohibited in some way too.

No, Social Network is okay.  https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/help/topic/t50

There are rules. When Amazon hits an account, they don't give detailed reasons, more or less like choosing best answer out of 4 multiple choice answers.

People are losing accounts for no content. Giving prices and doing things like Great deal at Amazon $29, which is not allowed.  Copying descriptions etc from Amazon. Not listing site on Website list and updating for COPPA requirement, Not having Disclosure.  I use FB and have my FB account on my Website list and have tracking code for it.

There is a discussion board too where others can offer suggestions and answers to questions.

For both the associates in question, they were new accounts and, on the first sale, Amazon checked where the sale had come from. The accounts were then closed because of the site, according to the Amazon reps. Which is why I am concerned. I make almost all of my Amazon income from my own sites; I have no wish to endanger that income because Amazon no longer likes where some sales are coming from. Which is why I would like official confirmation that Amazon has no problem with Wizzley being used with Amazon Associates by users who don't own the site.

Those people violated a rule.

When you sign up,, you put your site name on their Website List.  You CANNOT put Wizzley.com on that list because you do not own the domain Wizzley.com.

However, https://wizzley.com/authors/LindaSmith1/  is okay because it is my user domain given to me by Wizzley and shows I do not own Wizzley, and not claiming I do.

Same as with Hub pages:  http://hubpages.com/@lindasmith1    Again, this is okay because I did not put

hubpages.com as my website.

People don't bother reading the rules such as the COPPA thing, disclosure that is required by law, etc and get shut down.

I did some checking and got link to forum on Infobarrel, but Infobarrel is not responding to writers.

If this is happening, then it would apply to Hub Pages, Wizzley, etc.
