Well, this used to be the case, I know I've done my share of calculations.
It looks like things may have changed recently. I just found this article: http://www.thedrum.com/news/2013/08/02/amazon-cuts-publishers-affiliate-commissions-earned-automatic-link-tagging
I don't believe we were informed about this change by VigLink, but I will look into it. Thanks for bringing it to our attention, Jo!

I certainly trust your calculations over anything that I could do. I'm still not sure how I got my C in Maths GCSE.
I've just read the article. Isn't that just the automatic links, that we've got switched off anyway? My biggest eye-opener is that VigLink is owned by Google. I didn't know that.
I'll wait on what you say/advise, along with the rest of the savvy folk of Wizzley. Thanks for looking into it.

I contacted VigLink customer support about this. They said that the commission rate hasn't changed and they'd inform us if it ever did.
I honestly don't know what to think. I'm definitely only getting around 4% for all of my sales there. And eBay has completely disappeared off the face of the Earth.

They have confirmed to me that Amazon recently dropped the commission rate to 5.5% for sub-affliate networks such as VigLink. Electronics etc. remained at 4%. So my recommendation now is to use your own Amazon Associate ID if you can regularly refer more than the lowest tier of 6 items.
eBay has changed their commission structure altogether and only pays for actual sales, plus some kind of bonus for referring new members. They don't pay per click anymore.

It is unfortunate that Viglink did not communicate this change more efficiently.

This is madness. You and I must have asked the same customer service. I was told that the commission hadn't dropped. You were told it had.
Presumably you got the truth (which we can all see by calculating the commission on our dashboard) because you had the whole weight of Wizzley behind you.
Thank you for pursuing it too. I've switched back to monetizing directly with Amazon.

Jo, just out of curiosity, since so many of us are learning from your efforts on Wizzley, how are your sales going this month? Thanks again.

So far they've been really disappointing, compared to July, August and September. Still higher than this time last year, but only just.

That's too bad and I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you see some improvement soon.
