Hello all,
With the newbie's apologies for asking a questions that may have already been asked, I wanted to find out if I ever get control of what gets dsiplayed on the sidebar of my articles, fully or partically and to what extent I can control it.
Thanks in advance!
Bhavesh.

If you`re talking about the Google ad revenues, If you click edit, you should see an option on the bottom right to maximise/reduce or disable the ads displayed on each article. I dont think its a good idea to reduce or disable the google ad revenues .

You will (somewhat) influence AdSense ads through your topic and content. Google will adjust, after a while, to show the most relevant ads.
If you write several articles about niche topics, your other pages may show up under "you might also like".
That's about it, Bhavesh.

If you're referring about the articles by other Wizzley authors that appear in the sidebar, I think of that sidebar as being part of a community of writers. I help other writers when they are featured on my wizzles and vice versa. It gives us all a little unexpected juice now and then. It's the difference between having your own site and enjoying the benefits of a group.

hamshi5433,
My apologies for not being clear, I was referring to the other articles on the sidebar. I do want to ask, however, why you think it's a bad idea to reduce or disable google ad revenues. I have indeed disabled the ads, thinking what's point of having them since I am not going to get much traffic in the beginning any way. My logic, flawed perhaps, was that I would turn the ads on after I see some real traffic. What am I missing?
Thanks!

oh dear you`re missing almost everything! Google ads make up 50% of your wizzley earnings..when people click on those ads, you get 50% commission from Wizzley [No self clicks or encouraging others to click though]. Unless you`re an expert at making regular sales, your wizzley income relies on google ads.

chefkeem,
This makes a lot of sense. I am indeed planning to write on niche topics but I don't know if they be seen as "niche enough" by the google and wizzley engines. I guess I will just need to put them out there and find out won't I?
Many thanks!

You're right, Digby_Adams, community is definitely a big part of it all and that's the part I enjoy the most. Cheers!
