Color scheme request: a better green theme, please?

I'm not sure if this is at all possible or if anyone else shares my desire for this. But I so, so wish there was a better "green scheme" here among the 16 color themes available. Something of a darker, more evergreen color...something like the 006600 color on this hex chart here, or even the 009900:

Why? Well, to be honest, I feel like it would go so well for certain topics like gardening and "green living". Also Christmas-related wizzles where the two reds don't quite work or coordinate well.

And personally, I just don't like the two greens we have to choose from right now. At all. The one is too bright and garish to my eyes; in publishing over 150 wizzles now I haven't found a single article I wanted to use that bright green for. The other, olive green one is just, well...drab. I can't find much it meshes with well at all. 

I know color appreciation is subjective but I have so many wizzles I just feel would look better with a darker, richer green as the background color and it's been a constant minor frustration to me that we don't have one. Am I alone in this? 

No, you're not alone. Color is important to me, too. I'd love to be able to enter hex codes!

More colors to choose from would definitely be better!

I wasn't necessarily asking to be able to enter hex codes, just pointing out how much I'd love a darker green background...and that hex code chart was the easiest way I could find to point out the kind of color I was looking for. 

Definitely, that would be great.

We'll keep this in mind for our next design update. Don't know when though.

I would love to have a customized color theme.

Maybe we can suggest some more user friendly stuff to Chefkeem which is not too complicated.

My biggest problem is with the module title colors.  And I do agree that a darker green background choice would be nice.

Just throwing around some ideas here:

The white, black and gray backgrounds have very blah looking title colors.  The point of a black background would be to have the article stand out more, but the titles don't (IMO).  I think they could use some color, like maroon / dark red.

Navy blue for some of the titles, like with the light yellow background, would look nice also.

Personally, I dislike the orange text altogether.

On the other hand, I love the choices for scheme background patterns.  And most of the background colors I am fine with, except those bright ones, which I seldom use.

Maybe Simon could change our color choices to match the Pantone colors of the year... each year... Just Kidding!
