Confused about Page Rankings - Observations

Is there anyplace that has all of the info explaining Page Rankings?

I am wondering why all of the pages seem to have 50% when they are published and then drop a bit after being published ~ 47% (I am not tweeting or facebooking them, so this might account for a drop).

It seems that once they get indexed in Google 1-2 days there is a big jump.

Outside traffic to the site seems to help a bit.

I haven't figured if responding and commenting on my own pages makes the numbers drop.

Also, is 100 as high as the page can go?

Page rank and author rank are explained on our help page, Kirsti. There are a lot of different factors involved, including a secret sauce of sorts so the system can't be gamed.  :)

Thanks Achim.

I know you'd pointed me in the right direction once. Might have been about the author ranking.

At least now if I search the forum, I'll find the thread.

Guess I'd better try and figure out the secret sauce recipe to include in my pages. Wink
