If I am on one of my pages (using my newest as a sample), and I click on "recruit new authors" at the bottom of the page, the link I am given is:
http://wizzley.com/funny-warning-signs/?pr=54
If I put this link in a browser when I am NOT logged in, it does appear at the top of the page with my referral id, but if I click on
"register for free"
The new URL is: "http://wizzley.com/accounts/register/?tr=sidebar" (same as if ?pr=54 had not been included on the initial link)
Does the referral link to a page proveded by Wizzley give me referral credit for the new author?

We'll have to wait for Simon or Hans to comment on this question, Rhonda.

Hi Pukeko,
I'm not sure, if I understand it correctly ... As soon as a new user follows one of your reflinks, a cookie is set in their browser - valid for 30 days. All other links ON Wizzley don't need to have the "pr" inside, incl. the registration link. So, no matter *at which point* a user clicks on your link - from your blog, email or facebook, etc. - a cookie is set and this way, Wizzley recognizes your recruited members.
Does that answer your question?

This wasn't my question but I did find it very helpful...thanks!

Thanks Simon. It was me who didn't understand about cookies. If I understand correctly now, the cookie is stored from either:
http://www.wizzley.com/?pr=54
http://www.wizzley.com/article-name/?pr=54
This is good news. Thanks.

To piggyback on this, do I understand correctly that the new Wizzley person has 30 days to write a post after they join to be listed as my referral?

Following on from Vikks questions, is it ok to contact our recruits, thank them and offer assistance?

Hi!
I have a problem with referrals as well.
I know that I have recommended an actual Wizzler writer, and I don't see her on the list of my recommendations.
The recommend part is working?
Regards
Michey

The referral system works fine, Michey. However, if you know for sure that a person tried to sign on under your referral link, send us the pertinent info through a support email and we'll fix it for you.
Consider that the person may have gotten several invitations, and then signed up under someone else.
If both of you agree on the situation, then we can fix it.

Or maybe the author switched his/her browser or cleared the browser's cookies and history before registering, in which case the referral cookie can't work.
As Achim said: We'll fix such cases manually, of course!

My eyes glass over with some of these questions and answers. But I'm trying . . .
I want to put a banner at the bottoms of some of my articles. I have found the banners but am unsure how to use them.
I've tried putting the code in the code module and the text module. Neither works. It's probably something simple I don't know about. I'd appreciate any advice.
Thanks!

Don't use the code module - it's designed to show the code as is.
Use the text module, but when in the editor, click on the HTML button in the tool bar on top. Then enter your banner code in the HTML window, save that window, then save your edit window, finished.

Sure, Susannah.
Except for Amazon, Zazzle, Allposters...those need to go into our modules.

Fine by me. Just it's a lot easier to get a click on some things if they're an image than an image followed by a link (like you have to do on Hubpages)!

Susannah - you can even link out an image from the regular editor window (not HTML). Click to highlight the image, then click on the "link button" in the tool bar, and enter your link there. However, this feature does not work in Chrome, only in FF, etc.
