I had a piece in my Google documents I was not sure if I had ever done anything with, because I couldn't remember ever publishing it.  I used it last night in an article - and got the correction notice this morning, with the reference of where it is. It was used in a blog I still have open. My question - will the content checker pick up content from blogs or other sources that are cached, but no longer live on the Internet? There are things I know are no longer live that I want to revive.

And...I'm working on the article! ;) Thank you...

Copyscape picks up on duplicate content anywhere on the web, but it also recognizes recently deleted content that may still be cached. We base our approval process on that info.

In a recent case, we discovered the authors dupe on a blog post from 2006. He deleted the blog and asked Google to de-cache the content. Copyscape confirmed this on the next day.

I'd say go ahead and "revive" your content, and we'll let you know if we still find any duplicates.

Does this answer your question...um...Orly?   Wink
